They are coming as the invasion is part of lore and there are hints about it in the filesI love all things Scandinavia and Norse related, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if they never came as a faction in the game. It doesn't feel like it's needed. That can be saved for mods, and the eventually "Warband remade in Bannerlord" mod. lol
But those bunch of trolls here negate this and say sturgia are nords xD They dont read the lore of Mount and Blade and dont even know about the Nord Invasion xD They just want to provoke because they dont have nothing else to do in life instead of writing nonsense...They are coming as the invasion is part of lore and there are hints about it in the files

I know the lore part, but I didn't think it'd come at all, just left there for lore reasons. What's the hints in the files, if you don't mind me asking?
Is there an option for "I am sick to death of vikings in video games"? Is sturgia not enough?
To play devil's advocate i would love if TW did like the Calradia Expanded Kingdoms mod and broke each faction into 2-3 ones (like the empire in their 3-way civil war), it's kinda strange that every culture has just one single respective kingdom as if they were a monolith.I'd like more Nord stuff but a whole separate faction is unnecessary. Nobody wants the same carbon copy faction of all the factions we already have.

That separate culture thing is only for the Skoldabrotva minor faction, its not some sneak peak secret thing.Nords are a separate culture now in the game and the Nord styled troops were removed from the Sturigia roster. They also have a almost fleshed out culture that the other merc factions don’t.
But we know there is a Japanese like culture somewhere in the world of Calradia, remember the strange armor and sword from previous M&B?Also, no to Samurai. Especially if we get some anachronistic Sengoku sh*t.

I would imagine they'd be way too far from Calradia to matter though. But we know there is a Japanese like culture somewhere in the world of Calradia, remember the strange armor and sword from previous M&B?
in-lore it probably came from a far away trade-route to the east, beyond the Khuzaits and whatever it was they were running from when they swarmed Calradia.

Nope. Nords come from generic icy northland to rule over the locals in Sturgia, much like the Kievan Rus sort of thing.I'm confused. I thought I knew the lore, but apparently not. Weren't the Nords descended from Sturgia? Well, I can't say I'm annoyed or anything that the Nords are now separate, but I have gone this entire time... lol
Above Sturgia are the Nordlands u can already see their lands on the world map. In Lore the empire gave some nord mercenaries land on the coast as payment for their services. After the Calradian Empire fell, a Nord Leader named Gundig Hairy-Breeks landed in calradia to claim a supossed nordic birthright on the whole continent but this was a fabrication of skalds. After the Viking Leader Gundig Hairy-Breeks died in an battle at rivacheg there came still new Viking Leaders under the idea of claiming Calradia by force.Weren't the Nords descended from Sturgia?

They increased the world map in bannerlord not for nothing. Its obviously after they have added new areas on the map for new factions like the nordlands in the snowy island above sturgia. I think thats awesome when the world map gets bigger! That means more factions more battles more fun!Look at the map for example, an entire ocean has appeared, mountains have sprung out of the ground, and major rivers have appeared from nowhere. It really surprises me that anyone thinks you can use Warband's backstory to explain Bannerlord's. It's basically a clean break, story-wise.
They should definitly not bringing the Viking Invasion as Dlc, instead they should add a option to activate them before starting an campaign/sandbox! The Nords are that important like the Empire in Bannerlord and as Dlc it would make less sense for this small addition. But yes nowadays u can have for everything an dlc even when its only a skin...They should bring it as DLC that way if some players don’t want it they don’t have to.
