What's the easiest way to rebel?

I am trying to rebel against the D'shar, but I get every castle I request.  I have gotten to the point where they say "you have been awarded enough for your accomplishments" every time, but after I take the castle, they give it to me. Does refusing a fief really make it less likely to get the next one as it says in game? And, yes, I am waiting until I get the last castle before I go take another one. And I have the largest army i can field and usually have 4-5 lords with me so I dont gain much renown at all.

Make the king angry at you, go attack someone you're not at war with, maybe even someone you have a peace treaty with.

Female lords who are married to another lord can suggest a rebellion to their husband.  Instant Pendor.  It is the easiest IMO (and nets you a starting lord).

Request a castle or city you're taken, then when the king gives it to you refuse it. Then when it is given to another lord you get the option of renouncing your allegiance, as if the king had refused to give you the castle in the first place. That's the easiest way, but it seems like a loophole that should be closed. Worked in PoP 3.4 at least, don't know about native.

easiest way? capture castles until he'll refuse to grant you one...happens sooner or later.

Can you elaborate on this? I've never tried this.  Does your MC have to be female in this case, so that you can marry a lord and ask him to start Pendor? Or are you saying you can just talk to a friend's wife and tell her to ask her hubby to rebel?

Character = female and she suggests to her husband (also a lord of the same faction) that perhaps his king is unfit to rule.

Like I said, you can just choose "decline the honor" option when the king agrees to give you the castle you've captured and requested the ownership of. Then, as some other lord gets the castle, you get the option to rebel as if you were denied the ownership of the castle.

Smoke some weed and sleep with every guy in the highschool. even the ugly ones... oh, you mean in game? i guess their answers work then

Take all the top tier troops out of your garrisons and give them to the militia and knight patrols. Make sure you leave 200 for castles and 500 for towns. You dont lose knighthood orders or buildings constructed while you own them. Go to the king and renounce, then take back your properties by force. Its really not that painfull if you fill the garrisons with recruits and farmers. Just wait till your faction is at war. The only other way is to raise your controversey then take a castle. For that you have to be marshal.-----------Or you could do this.....

How do you give troops to your militia and patrols?

Join them when they are fighting and in the prisoner screen.....release some of your troops and the patrol/militia will get them

Either did I. That's an awesome tactic. I often wanted to buff up my militia patrols, but couldn't figure out how, short of following them and hoping they get in over their heads against a stack that has a lot of prisoners for them to take, so I could swoop in and save them.

This way, though, I can finally make a use out of all the "randoms" I've acquired. Like Notorious Outlaws, Red Brotherhood Guildsmen, Heretic Worshippers, Cobra Warriors, Jatu Lancers, D'shar Outlaw Chieftains, etc... all those guys that I don't get that many of, but are decent enough to make me feel like I should put them to use.
