So list any new things you see that have been added to the game, anything, gameplay, graphics ect..., single and multi!

@psychopigeon: Be fair :smile:

New quests, hiring your own caravans, new map, items to fit the new setting to name a few things

singleplayer? really? who cares, it's always been about multiplayer

Wrong, the biggest differences between Warband and WFaS are guns and singleplayer.

Check the taleworlds website they give a load of info.

Kaelranar I see your new, HAVE A FISH- oh wait... wrong forum sorry.

Always? When's "always"?

Did you get Fire and Sword for your 13th birthday or something?

I don't mean to sound like a troll but the question I will be asking will be..

"What have they taken out from Fire and Sword?"

Industries (silk etc.) in towns was one that stood out to me. Arenas are gone as well, but that's to be expected. Sure there's more, or stuff that simply changed but haven't played a whole lot yet.

Given that Fire & Sword is almost twice the install size of Warband, I'd hope there to be alot of new stuff.

You forgot Character Creation.

They took out the character creation, eh?

What a shame..

Well you still get the "place points here and there!"

But they removed the started questions which provide a foundation for your character, and who he/she is. Oh and they removed Females (Females are icky anyway!) I can almost see the quote in the meeting now.

"So.. why don't we put Female character's in the game?"

Response: Well you see, we feel that isolating part of the new gaming generation is a good idea. We can easily justify it by suggesting historical accuracy. The thing is.. women are icky, they have cooties and we should avoid them at all costs.

"So... Why don't we just let them have the choice? I mean.. it is single player.. if they want to play the game like that, alone, secluded in the quarantine zone otherwise known as their house... How does that one player avatar ruin immersion for any other player?"

Response: Well.. You see. Due to the sudden emergence of wormholes in the gaming universe, we have noticed that a female playing a female character in Georgia, can actually worm into a male player's game in Washington. This is due to the discovery of multiple dimmensions. You see, one dimmension copies all the digital information in one game, and transfers it to another dimmension which places this information into another player's game.. And that ruins immersion for them.

"Ahhh! So due to some strange quantum theory you just made up.. a female character played only by that one character and not seen by anyone else will ruin the gameplay for someone who doesn't see that character.. I understand.. Pull Female characters, and go ahead and take out the character background questions as well! I would hate for some multi-dimmensional wormhole to start placing trader's where they shouldn't be!"

Lackey #5: YES SIR! RIGHT AWAY SIR!

Apparently from what i'm reading they took out character backgrounds, female characters, industries, marriage and starting your own kingdom. They added in caravans and some kind of storyline.

Taking away tournaments was a sad realization for me, but it makes sense I guess.

You can now challenge people to duels or pub regulars to fistfights which is cool.

Way more quests.

You can customize your troops now at the merc camps, uograding their gear.

Armor is typically very light so archers are buff.

Castles have economies as well.

There are special buildings in some cities that let you take out loans, give new skills to your heroes, or make custom weapons.  Might be more but I haven't found them yet.

Did they seriously take out running your own kingdom?  Wasn't that the entire" endgame" experience of warband?

Yes. But then Warband didn't have several storylines to pursue; the endgame here will be winning the war for your chosen faction.
