What to do with high-ranking prisoners

Okay, so I don't have a fief yet but I have managed to ride around on the coatails of King Harhaus of Swadia and managed to capture a Vaegirian Lord and the King of Vaegir. 

So, what can I do with them? I am a bit nervous having them as my prisoners as I am worried about them escaping. Do I ransom them back to their kingdoms? And what the hell do I do with the king? Any chance I can hand these prisoners over to a friendly lord or even my king to gain some clout?

Slaughter and eat them.

I can what? And how? I only got this game yesterday due to Steam's $5 special and was up until 1am last night playing it.

They are warring, can you please tell me HOW? In a little more detail?

Talk to them. They should be like "HEY SO I SEE YOU GOT A GOOD FRIEND THERE WINKWINK" or something.

If I remember correctly.

you ll get a ransom for them. After some time they ll offer you money, 2000-5000 for the lord, and for the king around 10 000. You can'T do anything else with them except slaughtering and eating them.

Your friendly lords may have a quest that asks for a lord to exchange, or just wait for the ransom offer to come in.

Options:

1. Wait for a ransom (best imho if you are within your prisoner management limit).
2. Some lord may ask you to give him a captured lord (crappy rewards imho).
3. Some lord  may actually give you a quest to capture and bring him an enemy lord, where you may be able to use him (still crappy reward but a bit better than option 2 most of the time).
