What should I get?

I said head a mic.

...

God dammit, I can't think of anything sexual to say about that.

NiBiRu - Age of Secrets. It's very reminiscent of Broken Sword, right down to the voice acting. I'm playing it at the moment, and it's a fairly interesting adventure game. I don't think you can download and purchase it electronically though, you can order it from here:
https://dreamcatchergames.3dcartstores.com/view_cart.asp

Also try to get your mitts on Darkfall: The Journal, if you can. It's from the same guys who made NiBiRu, but is a first-person adventure/puzzle game, rather than 3rd person, and it's very immersive. I don't know where you might get it from though, as it's not listed on the Adventure Company's site. (http://www.adventurecompanygames.com/tac/pc.php)

Here's a review of it though: http://www.justadventure.com/reviews/DarkFall/DarkFall.shtm

How can an unreleased game be the best one ever? Unless you mean that it will be the best one ever? But then you'd just be a fanboy.
I saw the preview and the demo of it and it's the best RTS game so far.

While enthusiasm for strategy games is commendable, claiming to be a prophet isn't.

Empire total war is the best RTS game ever. It's coming around this year or 2009.
But i suggest you play Counter Strike or Call of Duty 4 if you like FPS game.

Two new games I've played lately, Civ IV: Colonization (nice if you like the Civ series) and King's Bounty (nice if you like the HoMM series) are both available via Gamersgate.

Civ IV:Col has multiplayer, KB has better single player replay value. Both has a lot of bang for the buck.

Lot of bang for the buck. Never realised how dirty that sounds.

Of course, if you can find a copy of Planescape:Torment online...it's possibly the best game I ever played. And probably cheap too by now!

I got civ4 colonization yesterday and I could say i was far from impressed. Colonization (1993) is probably the second most game played by me ever, maybe. The game doesnt really offer anything new since the origional. Units are the same, buildings are the same, trading is the same. The only difference is the natives can declare war. I rate it 5/10.

I think their goal was to stay true to the original. And fact is, you can't please everyone. Heck, I bet they had a new feature they were considering but decided against. Now, if they did put it in, chances are you'd say "They changed to much, it was a whole different game and the new features ruined the beautiful simple complexity of the original" Now, thats a bit of a specific stretch there, I admit, but still.

It was on the same engine of Rome, so I don't notice the difference between the two games problems of too many sieges.

The problem was it not really having anything to offer. Everything to do with the campaign was dull. The units, the descriptions, the map. It was dull in Rome as well, but at least the battles were fun. In M2, they took that away. The units in M2 are stupid ****s. You have to babysit them constantly just to make sure they aren't spreading out into a useless blob. I'm glad at their attempt to make cavalry more realistic, but controlling them is no longer intuitive. Battles in M2 are still extremely easy, but now they feel more like a chore than anything. The sieges always felt like a chore. In EB I generally wait for the enemy to sally. But in M2, everything feels like a chore. The campaign, field battles, sieges. There just isn't any value to me.

Hopefully EB II will fix this, but there are some serious hardcoded obstacles in their way.
