The good news is, it can and often gets better. I was 22 when I dropped out of a useless course, took a loan, started my own night club, developed a coke habit, failed spectacularly, owed 3 times then average yearly salary, seriously contemplated shooting porn for a while (those were the times when people still actually paid for porn). Turns out, there's a way even out of that kind of thing. (Without having to shoot porn)

unfortunately, it actually did happen. But my coke habit was relatively discreet, I was still functional (even if slightly paranoid), just wasting a lot of money on it. Also the inflation and the relatively rapid rise in nominal wages in mid and late 90s effectively ate away a large part of the debt. Seriously now, I have no real degrees of any sort, and having lots of 8-10 grades (we grade people 0-10) in my high school resume means nothing to anyone. Also, being fluent in English is not an easy coin to toss in anything, since they won't believe me unless I have "proof" (tests which are usually paid for). I've been talking to Wolfhead on how to find a job as an English teacher in private courses and I think it's the only real shot I have.
As I also said though, I'm having a huge block on anything I try, but that's something I have only myself to rely on and blame. I'm having heavy problems going out and interacting with people I don't know. I'll get over it.
EDIT: Also that's an awesome story you should publish that ****.

Driving up to the parents along country lanes, some idiota behind had his (or her) lights on full beam. I couldn't see anything through the reflection so pulled over and let 'em past as. And I did try to tell them as well as I could.
Yeah, those are pretty annoying. Driving over hilly terrain even if those behind you don't have their long lights on too. Worse, in a way, since they can't really do much about it, and you still get flashes of light in your mirrors.
