This is mostly just a fun thread, I'm optimistic that there will actually be a larger community to play these once we get custom community servers, and when (if nothing else) mods provide features players want to have.

There may be a useful purpose here in indicating to modders what the prospective level of interest is for something they could make, but realistically we aren't going to have a huge sample of voters, and they won't know how well their mod will do until it's released.

We're in the MP subforum so I assume we should be discussing our preferences for MP mods. Maybe you aren't interested in the same setting for a SP mod or vice versa.

Are you most interested in:
- Era & Setting Overhauls (e.g. Rome, Napoleonic era, WW1)
- Gameplay Overhaul (e.g. cRPG, Persistent Kingdoms, others)
- Game mode/Gameplay Rebalance/Adjustments (Battle Royale, Zombie Mode, Capture the Flag, large scale battle mode, etc.)

Era modifications (Eurocentric):
Bronze age--or older? (Pre-Rome)
Roman or Hellenistic Era (there were at least 3 of these for Warband)
Early middles ages (Vikings, Frankish Empire, rise of Islam, ~7th cent)
Middle, High Middle ages (Crusades, later plate armor)
Renaissance thru Pike and Shot
Colonial Combat (Broad range - late 15th through 20th century; overlaps with others)
Rev. War - Napoleonic Era (Napoleonic Wars, Mount & Musket, L'Aigle, similar)
Civil War mods (~1860s)
Franco Prussian War/Late 19th Century (e.g. Blood and Iron mod)
World War 1 Mod (Iron Europe)
WW2 or later

Other regions:
Japan (e.g. Sengoku/Kamakura periods)
China
India
Middle East (Crusades or other setting)
Americas
Africa

Miscellaneous overhauls:
cRPG - Consistent character progression - or similar (e.g. Battle of Europe mod)
MP Persistent overhauls like Persistent Kingdoms: currency, economy, territory on a single map, but characters really level up with time)
Naval-Focused Period Mod, Piracy etc. (e.g. 15th-early 19th century)
Co-Op Campaign (devs said it may be DLC in future--likely hard to do)
Edit: Should also mention Full Invasion 2 style mods (wave defense, co-op vs AI)

Overhauls based on an existing franchise (not a lawyer so I can't speak to how different these would need to be to avoid copyright concerns):
Lord of the Rings overhaul (ignoring potential © issues)
Star Wars overhaul (ignoring potential © issues)
Elder Scrolls overhaul (ignoring potential © issues)
Game of Thrones overhaul (ignoring potential © issues)
Distant Future/Space setting, generic

Other game modes:
Gun Game--get a new weapon on each kill, be first to 30
Battle Royale (regardless of the specific era/setting)
Zombie mode - there was a popular NW server for this for a while
King of the Hill
Capture the Flag
Other game mode (please specify)

Edit: by the way, I thought it's slightly interesting that there are two games on Warband's engine both set in ~17th century Caribbean with a ! in their title.

Merceneries like version of Captain mode. Customize troops on a website, pick gear stats etc, separate loadout for captain. No progression, or some volatile veterancy bonuses. Strong rock paper scissors balance.
