I intend to spend a lot of time in Lord of the Rings and A Song of Ice and Fire mods.

I'd also love to see a higher fantasy Elder Scrolls mod that takes place in Cyrodil with all the sapient races as factions and magic.

This plus ancient Greece.

That could be cool.

But anyway, what I've come to realize is that I am really looking forward to a mod which adds some increased heraldic presence to the different clans. Right now, as far as I can tell, each clan has a field and then charges or ordinaries with tincture according to the faction they are part of. I would love to see each clan have a coat of arms with a unique blazon so that we can get a wonderful coloration of the armies thta goes to war.

That's definietly an immersive mod that I look forward to and which I hope thta someone capable of modding will put together.

Taking what you said, I would like to see more distinguishable troops because I find the sprites floating above troops heads very annoying and immersion breaking.

Historical mods, about Rome,Fall of Roman emprie maybe..Hell this can be a DLC too, something i was talking about a long time ago.

You guys are so boring, want to remake old historical mods with a modding engine that potentially could do a lot more. So much wasted potential.

unique gamemode mods - like you see in starcraft 2 custom maps
Big tug of war battles like nexus wars
Line wars
hero wars like in warcraft custom maps
MOBA-like mods, each lane has troops and you defend small forts and towers
battle royale medieval - drop in naked find shields and weapons etc. Maybe add fantasy elements like spells and beasts
Man, if the modding system is as powerful as they say, lots of possibilities

Big campaign story mods

witcher 3-like campaigns + bannerlord combat and battles.
any good campaign mods. this is something warband and bannerlord really lacks.
party based campaigns like divinity original sin2  with interesting companion spells.

diverse sandbox mods

heroes of might and magic 3 + bannerlord. custom fantasy creatures and magic. Hundreds of skeletons and necromancers summoning them. Phhhew that would be awesome.
path of exile/diablo mod. ARPG but with actually fun and good combat system
warhammer total war 2 but with actual good AI and interesting combat. the actual total war game was a snoozefest because AI was so bad.

modular isolated mods
since they say we can combine mods, hopefully it actually works well, I am thinking maybe to take a shot at modding myself since I work as a software developer and know C#, which they say will the mod language. Which means, bigger possibilites because c# is a full blown language.
Some ideas:
create your own adventurers guild or guild system. enemy AI, peaseants and random people can join a guild you create. create quests for them to take up, etc.
maybe just add a modular isolated magic system that anyone can use in any mod or native bannerlord.
add bounty/contract system where enemy AI can hunt you if you have a bounty.

I am sure whole turkish forum is looking for ottoman scenerio: bannerlord edition, arent we boys ? :fruity:

This presumably comes from a high % of history nerds of the fandom population.

Maybe someone can remove the world map so that you are focusing on one person, and remake skyrim in bannerlord that would be really cool

For a first person experience in Warband, you should try Explorer.

I would love to play that mod, but as an east european I can't imagine that without asymmetric warfare support, like the scrapped ambush feature.

Well, it was considered "not fun" by a turkish development team...

With the upcoming release of 'Explorer' mod alpha, I would like to see that. Imagine that in bannerlord. Holy crap.

Lmao throwback to me explaining to RainbowDash how the use of the word Ambush in blogs wasn't referring to an actual feature. Sweet victory.
Do you remember which blog this was? I thought it was the Batannia blog, but no luck.

Promises and promises...We'll see what the promised features will look like....

Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord Developer Blog 3 - Unexpected Parties
Development of this kind is incremental and behaviours need to be gradually corrected and improved over time, to include new actions. An example of this is ambushing. The mechanic and gameplay of ambushing itself needs to be developed but for a real implementation into the game, the AI needs to be programmed to make sure that lord and bandit parties also make use of ambushing in realistic ways. This adds extra layers to the development of a non-linear game like Mount&Blade, obviously creating complications but a necessary part of creating the games that we want to create and our players enjoy.

Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord Developer Blog 7 - Imperial Declines
Bannerlord is set 200 years before Warband. Players who followed Warband's lore will recall that Calradia was once an empire, which declined and was supplanted by successor states -- tribal confederations-turned-kingdoms -- much as the Western Roman Empire was supplanted by early medieval states. Bannerlord lets you join those rising kingdoms at an early stage in their development, and it also lets you join the Empire. Weapons, armor, clothes and architecture should date from around 600 to 1100 AD, rather than the 13th century. There's the Vlandians, a tribe whose chieftains have become feudal lords and are renowned for their skills as heavy cavalry. There's the Sturgians, who colonized the forests of the north and specialize in axe- and sword-armed footmen. The Aserai live in the scrubland and desert oases of the south and fight on both horseback and foot. The Khuzaits, a steppe tribe that conquered the trading cities of the east, make heavy use of horse archers. The Battanians meanwhile are skilled in exploiting their native woodlands, and are deadly in ambushes, be it a shower of arrows or a screaming charge out of the trees. The Empire has spent generations honing the arts of combined-arms warfare, with cataphracts, spear formations, and archers all doing their part on the battlefield.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Developer Blog 12 - The Passage Of Time

The topography of the map is not entirely consistent with Warband, in fact Bannerlord's map is somewhat more mountainous. The effect of this is an increase in the number of choke points. It will be hard to avoid conflict, for instance, when traversing narrow passes through mountain ranges that may be riddled with ambush spots or enemy patrols. Tactically, the map offers many more options for controlling areas that serve as trade routes. Battles are often fought in the game to contest key choke points with the goal of securing passage for trade caravans and other parties. As a player, it is important to consider what kind of warfare you are likely to end up in, before sacrificing relations with a faction. If your speciality is skirmishing on foot over rough terrain, you might for example avoid engaging the Aserai, who will have higher mobility in the open desert.

Ambushing was a planned feature, however, after implementing it, we found that it didn't really work well with the way our sandbox plays out, and ultimately, it wasn't much fun for the player.

Gram Games also formed a game studio abroad. In other words, Turkey is a country that actually has a game developer fabric. There is also a huge government support in this regard. Tuğbek Ölek, “in my opinion, one of the biggest problems of Turkish game developers today is to decide which government incentive to apply. Even Germany and France do not have this much support for their developers “he says. What a good problem, isn’t it?

TOGED explains these incentives: “We can say that the state offers a comprehensive package of support in different scales and forms, ranging from project-based reimbursement support to financial support for experts hired from overseas. Support is provided by different institutions such as Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Transport, Maritime and Communications, TUBITAK and KOSGEB.

These support packages are open for independent developers as well. For example, the Ministry of Economy provides financial support to developers for up to $200,000 for each game project; if you are exporting your game, you can also get up to additional 100 thousand dollars and up to 50 thousand dollars for licensing. In addition, it is possible to get 50% off support for two employee salaries. If you want to open an office abroad, you can also get rent assistance. You can also benefit from multiple support programs at the same time. Apart from these, there are graduate programs in various universities, incubation centers and scholarship degree programs. “

I'm sure this has been posted before but I wanted to post this anyway.

Gamescom isn't that far and while I'm not holding my breath over it, I'm still counting down the days.

Lately I've been playing Warband with a couple of mods, and started working on one of my own, and this got me thinking about what mods I would like to see in Bannerlord.

Personally I would love to see something like L'Aigle, and since the game already has siege weapons and siege defense constructs, it could mean that we could finally see proper cannons. Also I'm sure the modding community will be able to work magic with the weapon crafting system.

So what mods do people want?
