Game itself was fairly ****. But the sandbox nature and solid community (and great admins) is what made it. Still the best experience I've ever had in gaming.

Specifically for select people from here I know wouldn't get in my way that is.

Also, the other servers I've tried to play with people on have had people I don't know on them too which ruins the experience for me.

Pretty much. For me it was just "I want to go there and build X. Before I do that I need to clear away land. If I want to do that I'll need tools. If I want those I'll have to mine...OHHHHHH I get it!" It was more tedious than anything.
Anyway still I was playing it before it was cool.
