Passed my driving test today! First time, omly 5 minors

congratulations!

As for what made me happy today?

Playing with the lego city with my daughter, she got the swamp police with criminals set today, and we kind of made up a story and played out said story, but it was bedtime and it ended with a cliffhanger when the swampland criminals (minus the crook turned informant) jacked the swampland police helicopter and took off to "city land" with officer jax and officer "birdman" in pursuit in their car.

Tomorrow the story will continue as birdman and Jax will try to solicit help from city land police in retrieving their helicopter.

The look on her face when I told her we'd continue playing tomorrow (if she doesn't wake me up for it at 6 a.m.) was priceless it's one of those details that make you happy and it's what I need right now since I often find myself living in the past again, thinking about my deceased friend from our accident in 2002, visiting his grave again, and being melancholic and in a state of chronic sadness/guilt ever since a current friend recently moved into a building where I lived 13 years ago and where I had lots of memories of my time with my friends who died. But thinking of the story my daughter and (mostly) I made up, it makes me happy

No, not really. I just think that how Temujin dedicates his life to his daughter is really noble and the total meaning of being the complete father.

Only 5? At 6 minors you're failed here.

We get 15 minors, hahah you suck! Oh wait that means we have crap drivers! maybe they have different definition of minors, I had a minor because I stopped a little bit too long before entering a round about.

Met vieieieieieieira in London today. Chatted, ate noodles and chatted. Dunno if Vieira has any photos, but there wasn't much to see beside a demon vampire zombie pigeon staring me down in a park.

I took random pictures of Landan, but I forgot about getting one of us being all gay and ****. Unfortunately. Dat pigeon though.

Yeah, we talked and walked, sat and noodled, and talked and walked again. Was a nice day out, all in all. After you left I decided to wander my way towards Euston, looking in shops and such. Missed the Museum, but found myself a nice little Italian restaurant in a random back alley and it was pretty tasty. The waiter had the most glorious moustache and short, curly hair combo. When he talked to me out came a ridiculous London accent which was surprising. What was more surprising was he just went and fluently spoke Italian to some ladies that were coming in just as I was leaving.

I had Pancotto con Fagioli, some Olives, and squid ink linguine with swordfish and tomato. Which was pretty damn tasty, and less unusual tasting as I had expected.

:O I'm hurt guys.

Thanks Lumos, how the hell did you decide on Kangaroo? The meat isn't THAT bad up there

It wasn't like a planned meet up thing. I was meant to be going to a seminar, but after chats with my dad decided it wasn't worth it. But I had booked train tickets (for a combined price of £11 or so from Birmingham) and I thought might as well, and Jacob decided to hit me up.

I also spent just under 3 times on my late dinner as I did on the travelling there and back!

I think I know exactly which restaurant that is. It's probably the best cafe/diner in the area. Was there a tube station on the road, with a tesco or something opposite?

It was close to the tube station, but not next to it. It was situated between a pub and a US diner type restaurant. It was this place. The one downside was that one of the staff, an older Italian man, looked permanently grumpy and he never said much. I watched him serve a few people, and he had one conversation with one guy and all he ever said to me was when he asked me was if I wanted anything after my starter. He didn't seem particularly engaging. The other guy was good, though.

So much for ACS being my last game.

It's nice when you get home, and your hands are cold, because it's suddenly turned ****ing freezing and miserable outside, but you've had your winter jacket on so only your hands are frozen, and then you wash them with lukewarm water, because the boiler tends to be a piece of crap, and the lukewarm water feels so nice and warm upon your chilly hands.

Gotta appreciate the little things.

Drinking with my brother worked as an outlet for the extreme stress recently. Feels good.

Played "Space Alert" game with a flatmate and a friend of his. It was like a tabletop version of FTL, and I love FTL, mixed with one of those tactical simulators where you plot a set of moves for your team and then let events play out, hoping you've accounted for everything that might happen. Except that every player controls a single crew member on the ship, and an onslaught of foes comes your way, and you must not get blown up.
Jolly good fun, though we lost two of the three games (and the first one was the simplest tutorial).

Had planned to play through more of the Blops3 campaign instead. Don't regret not doing it.

Mom found some folk that grow strawberries* and, in hopes of making jam for winter, bought 5 kilos of them.
Anyway, pretty sure they're the best mother****ing strawberries I ever ate, and they go really well with whipped cream. As does coffee.
*As in, they're picking them around the clock right now.

History professor just compared my work and effort to those of Ivy League students she taught in the past. Feels good, man.
