What is your favorite Ranged Weapon and why?

I was just wondering what ranged weapon everyone likes to use the most and why.
There will probably be one ranged weapon that dominates and is used alot but i want to know exactly why. Please share, this might be a chance for us to learn something about a ranged weapon that we didnt know. I will kick it off:

I like to ALWAYS have bow and arrows fill up at least 2 slots, It is my favorite weapon.
It is highly reliable, if you run out you can even pull some arrows from the walls and from the ground, considering many troops use arrows. It does good damage, and the more you practice with them you become very good, getting what i call insta-kills with easy headshots. I like using them for a Mid-close or long range. I mainly know it for its reliability, especially since that if I find myself a bit far while people are fighting i can pull it out real fast, shoot an arrow or 2, do some damage maybe get a kill then go right back.

I use jarids, alot of damage and has melee, basicaly, I equip 3 jarids and a shield shoot them all and pick up a enemy weapon. Very good tatics.

I personally have no taste for Thrown weapons. Yes, it is good to pick them up take some throws, do some damage, and it has melee so if someone closes in on you real fast you can switch to melee and defend youself, yes it is also reliable. But one real screwer upper is the fact that you cant hold a good ammount of jarids or spears when you equip a pack. Im sure with that big pack you have when you get heavy spears that you can hold more than four of them in that pack that you put on your back. And the aim with ranged weapons to me is hard to use and terrible. They should really fix that up a bit. Those are the only reasons i dont use thrown weps.

I use throwing axes a lot, basicly 3 axes and a twohanded sword. I never liked using shields (except in sieges to protect my back) so this combo is perfect for me. And the feal when you headshot someone with an axe, priceless!

Javelins on a horse. I just get these awesome headshots as a Nord Scout with 4 Javelin slots.

I use a warbow with 2 bags of normal arrows.Plus a sarranid guard sword

Longbow, Siege Crossbow or a light crossbow if I am on horse

in multiplayer:

nomad bow is used by 3 factions, so being proficient with it is very useful. i also prefer it to the shortbow anyway, which is also used by at least 2 factions (dunno if khergit use it?). but my favorite bows are in vaegir, the warbow and the strong bow are major beasts. the 2 bows I aim to have good proficiency with are warbow and nomad bow, and i am trying to get to know the strong bow better.

epic bow, the hold time is quite decent, arc (drop) is almost non existant, damage is great, thing is a nightmare on most maps

I usually go.with a warbow or shortbow with barbed arrows and minimum armor so i can outrun the more heavily armored knights

Siege Crossbow. I love sniping those idiot 2handers running around without a shield. It can also be used as a super-ranged pike (=support an ally infantry)

Double-Barreled Dragon. (You didn't say the weapon must be in Native)
Play Blood&Steel and find this weapon. Just awesome.
