what is your battle sizer set at?

i'm trying to figure out the right # to set the battle sizer at.  at first i went too crazy and set it at 500 and i kept crashing during seiges not to mention the poor frame rates.  down to 300, then now i am down to 200.

what is the good # for a decent hardware setup (q6600+8800gt)?

I have it at 100, mostly because I didn't think it was a big issue with smaller battle sizes.

Of course it runs completely smooth.

i find i have to lower my settings in huge battles to avoid crashing.

Yes. I even have everything turned on in the nVidia Control Panel that says "Improves quality". :p haha

Edit: I use my second GPU for rendering.

does having the 2nd GPU help with the crashes during seiges?  i think even at 250 it can crash sometimes on my PC if i max out my video settings.

I'd like to think so. I haven't really had to crash until I put the battle size above 300.

My computer could probably take more (I have all the graphic settings at pretty much minimum because I don't like good graphics, yes, I don't like good graphics), but I haven't bothered downloading the utility yet, I'll probably do it after I move though..

Perhaps you people could suggest a battlesize for me? Let me give you my stats, its not a supercomputer.. I really want a new one, but since I'm gonna study for 3-5 years I guess I'll have to wait a bit before buying one : P

I guess I could go up to 200, but I think it would lag with many trees or many horses..

I keep my battle size at 100 simply because the benefit of the tactics skill, and therefore a lot of the game balance, flies out the window in battles where you are outnumbered by/outnumber your enemies if you go over that number.  I there were useful formations and/or a way to deploy troops before a battle it would be different but, as the game stands, 100 is the highest properly balanced battle size in the game.
