What is the best musket?

i'm using the Jaeger Rifle with 77 range and 77 accuracy i think. but i noticed it still doesn't shoot as far or is inaccurate somehow. i picked up a musket w/bayonet from a dead body and i was able to hit targets from good range. and most muskets i see have lower range then the Jaeger Rifle

If you want range and accuracy, it's the Rifled Musket.  Very, very accurate, reasonably powerful, takes a week to reload.  It's your quintessential sniper rifle, basically.

If you want a good balance of speed and power, it's the Jager Rifle.  Not quite as accurate as the Rifled Musket, but more powerful, and quicker to reload,  The jager rifle is easily the best volley musket in the game.

If you want to carry one weapon and 3 units of Cartridges for long fights, neither of these are ideal as neither one has a bayonet, and you should use the Charlville Musket w/bayonet, which is the most accurate standard musket and IIRC reloads slightly quicker than the Long Land Pattern musket (AKA the Brown Bess) which is the other good bayonet musket.  IRL it was a lighter caliber piece, which is what I think that number is reflecting.

Be aware that I don't think you can move while loading the Charlville Musket, unlike the two rifles.

The Clavier is 2 barreled?  Even so though, it's hideously inaccurate.  I'll stick with the Jager Rifle.  It's by far the best horseback musket.

Worth investigating at some point, but the two shots thing is only really useful at medium range, and really it's better to just have a rifle that hits the enemy the first time.

Hate to be such a noob and state the obvious, but 10 shot musket will wipe out anything. NOTHING equals it. By raiding a caravan or two you can buy one, and then you are set for the whole game. Using a 10 shot musket on normal difficullty I had already taken a fo(Overhill) form Wild Frontier, killing 159 men for the los of 19 of my own 34.  And that was only on DAY 9.

Yeah, but the ten shot is stupid, not requiring any skittles. You could pretty much eliminate an entire army with just companions and 10shots, so it's not a big deal if you captured a fort and what not. But I'd have to agree with the Pensylvania new rifle as best. It's amazing, blend of Jaeger and Rifled Musket.

so do the bullets go straight the whole time? i seem to miss when my reticle is really small from a distance. is there a way to increase the projectile speed? of the bullets?

Yeah the 10 muskets isn't so much a musket as a cheat IMHO.  It's like a repeating rifle an entire century early.

They seem to go straight, but the bullet is invisible so it's hard to tell.  There is a bullet though.  Long shots you get a delay on the hit and you can hear them go by when they miss you.

That's why I don't use them. Just takes away the 18th century immersion.

I never use the 10 shot musket. I understand why it is there but I tend to want the immersion and as much historical accuracy as I can get from a mod and a game and so I don't use it.

Rifled Musket is the best but slow. I tend to prefer the Jaeger Rifle on the battlefield and the other for sieges. I find the Jaeger during the sieges to only be effective when you can get inside the enemy's walls but until then it has no range and you are sitting duck for the guys on the opposing battlements.

Hate to be even more noobish but 10 shot musket + 10 shot pistol + big ammo + large bag of grenades from last version + fast horse = total ownage.

You pretty much need a horse with 10 musket/pistol. Weighs a ton.
Pensylvania new is best imo.

early German tank design

penn rifle is very nice. use that rather heavily when I do a little character as a skinner/trapper.  right now, I'm playing with pistols I found the potsam pistol pair is very nice and accurate for a pistol

And total lameage.  Besides, the first 'nade and you fratricide your own horse and then you're pretty much stuck in one place for the rest of the game.

Oh and if you're going that way the answer is not "Fast horse."  It's "Spanish Cuirassier horse."  Good speed and 77 armor.

The Potsdam Pistol Pair is easily the most reliable medium range pistol.  I prefer the single shot any time there's cover though, and ESPECIALLY if you're fighting in a castle, as it's as solid  as the Potstam in terms of range and accuracy and loads a lot quicker, as long as you can find cover while reloading you can use it very effectively.

I would ask if there is a guide to fire muskets in this game. Because I would like to improve my accuracy quite a distance and do not give nor do I have to be almost to 20/30 meters to hit. When I like to do at 50 meters.

Any suggestions, guidance or help? I appreciate.

Sorry for my English.

Take some of the muskets with you and go to training ground.Try to aim in 1st and 3rd person perspective to see in which you have more hits, that perspective use in combat and you'll reduce your accuracy problems!
