Hi all,
maybe it is a stupid question, but what exactly are those two options in the video settings?
I never saw something similar in other games so i have no clue whether i should enable them or not.

What do they do?

Auto-Exposure = ?
Use Instancing = ?

Huh. Well, I'm no expert on computers, but the only use I've seen "instancing" used for is when it's talking about creating a separate copy of something or other. So, in World of Warcraft, an "instance" is a dungeon, of which multiple copies exist, each copy being specific to the party that's present in it. And in Spore, even though I might see the same planet in two different games of mine, what I do in one game does not affect the other, because the two games are instanced; that is, they are separated from each other. So I can only guess that "use instancing" means that either for scenes or something else that it creates separate copies of them. This would make more sense if single player had simultaneous separate scenes, or if multiplayer maps had multiple locations -- say, inside a building and outside it. As it is, it makes very little sense.

I am, of course, most likely totally wrong.

have a look at the above might explain it Instancing anyway

thx, when i understand it right it has no negative effects but could/should increase the overall performance so i start to wonder why this option is off by default .

when you switch it on you will see the % meter increase - or it did on my machine anyway
