After a battle, your movement speed on the map takes a heavy hit called "disorganization". It lasts for a couple seconds as your soldiers "regroup". The perk decreases this time. If you want to see it in game, after a battle look at your movement speed. Hover your mouse over the icon to see the details. You will see the Disorganized debuff there.
