It might be possible for Armagan to find a way to convert our characters from one version to the next, but (regardless of feasibility) I would assume that it wouldn't be worth the time involved.
Armagan is trying to constantly improve and update the game ... some of those changes require drastic changes to the game's code. As it stands now, Armagan can create major improvements, bugfixes, and additional content at a very fast pace. If he were to have to do all the extra work to make each update compatable with previous versions ... it would (at least) double the length of time between each update.
The best way to 'restore' old characters would be to use the in-game cheats. It isn't possible to get everything exactly the way that it was ... but it is the only plausible solution at this point.
