What happens if you do nothing

Let's say you cheat-teleport to a place where no one can reach you... and let things go using ctrl-space for a long period. Is there a faction that gets the upper hand? Can factions die without any help from the player?

Usually true, but I did have one game where the Swadians absolutely curb stomped everybody that declared on them. As a Sarranid vassal I actually had to race to get an army up fast enough to take one of the Rhodok towns before Swads wiped them out, and I barely made it - Rhodoks were 1 castle away from destruction when I took Jelkala at day 30 or so. After they annihilated Rhodoks they took at least a quarter of every remaining faction too before I finally had the guns to carve out my own kingdom.

It was easily the most unusual game start I've had in WB, but man it was nice to have competition.

 nnever had swadia do anything intresting in my game  they alwys got destroyed from overfeasting ....

well, fat, drunken lords constantly kept in low-light candlelit environments dont do the best in combat....

anyway, i might try doing that. ive wanted to before, but i might do it and post my results.

Yup, I'm going to try too, but actually you would need to make a few months pass, if not a year. You need to either hold ctrl-space for a very long time or find objects to hold down those buttons.

edit: on june 25, these are the major changes

swadia lost suno and uxkhal to rhodocks (and praven is under siege) Harlaus was taken prisonner
nords and vaegirs have pretty much the same territory
sarranids took unuzdaq castle and halmar from the khergits

Swadians really need some sort of boost. They're at a terribly disadvantaged position, being bordered by nearly everyone else.

Go to the module ini in your current module

Change time_multiplier = 0.25 into a higher number
I believe this number is how much hours pass in 1 second, don't know for sure.

Anyway, change it to say 6, which is 24x faster. Teleport into a safe zone (mountain) and just "move". As you cannot move in that area you will stay put. But the world will continue, on a, now, way faster pace.
No need for ctrl + space or other manual stuff...

but they haev the best knights, fairly capable crossbowmen, and some pretty epic infantry at top-tier.

Swadia always do alright in my games, Khergits and Nords tend to lose one town or so but can take them back easily, unless I intervene.

First time i tried having my own kingdom, Swadia took on every single faction at the same time (including mine) and made us all eat dust lol. They first crushed rhodoks and before the crushing was complete, several rhodoks defected right to swadia and enabled swadia to keep up with us all by constantly gaining both fiefs and lords to hold em good and proper. I went "WTF is this ****?!" and ragequitted on that single player game.

Of course some factions warred with each other too but only swadia had 6 wars on going at the same time.

The WB map actually gives them a huge boost compared to original M&B... In original, Praven was literally in the center of the map. Swadia bordered everyone and their initial territory was split by a mountain range so it was nearly impossible to ride between east and west for fief defense. Combined with them being at war with the Rhodoks from day 1, every M&B game I ever played at least started out as a "chew on Swadia" block party.

Overall I'd say they're in a lot better starting shape these days.

Actually their crossbows suck.... HARD

In my game, about 570 days in, Swadia has been forcibly ejected from the midland and my Sarrinid team now owns most of that space, the rest belongs to the Vaegirs who have all but wiped the Nords off the map (without my help, the Nods have all of 3 Castles and one fief to each left in their name, all spread well apart from one another). The Swadians are still partying all the time, and I've gone to a couple of their feasts only to talk to everyone and discover that they hate my guts for pillaging my way through their farmers, their armies, their wealth and their land. Aside from that, nobody pays any attention to the Swadians anymore.

Th Sarrinids are busy fighting the Rhodoks,
The Vaegirs are fighting the Kergits,
The Kergits are barely half-assedly fighting the Sarranids, but spend all their resources holding off the Vaegirs,
The Nords are fighting to survive the harsh weather,

...and finally,

The Swadians are fighting each other for the last piece of chicken at King Hilarious's Big Birthday Bash!
