What happened to the option for disabling women warriors?

I haven't found a single female fighter, what am I missing lmao.

I've been playing 90% of my playthrough on the northern side, I was a little disappointed cuz there weren't any valkiries but I just assumed it was some EA shenanigans.

I don't share this problem at all.
I think people are mainly concerned with companions and faction characters... I think I have 3/4 female companions myself... One of em looks positive derpy... I need to find her a helmet to cover her face.

Configuration
When you first load a save game, a configuration file will be created in \Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client called femaletroops.ini

DoHeroes=false # false = Will not change hero-type units. TargetUnits takes precedence over this setting if applicable.
DoSoldiers=true # false = Will not change soldier-type units. TargetUnits takes precedence over this setting if applicable.
DoInfantry=true # false = Will not change infantry-type units, such as looters. TargetUnits takes precedence over this setting if applicable.
DoArchers=true # false = Will not change archer-type units. TargetUnits takes precedence over this setting if applicable.
DoCavalry=true # false = Will not change cavalry-type units. TargetUnits takes precedence over this setting if applicable.
HideHelmet=true # true = Will hide the helmet of units affected by the changes. false = wont.
TargetCultures= # List of culture IDs you want the changes to apply to. Leave blank for all, otherwise list them seperated by a semi-column, i.e battanian;khuzait
TargetUnits= # List of unit IDs you want the changes to apply to. Leave blank for all, otherwise list them seperated by a semi-column, i.e imperial_recruit;imperial_archer
ToMale=false # false = Will change the units to female. true = Will change the units to male.

Debate over, now we can appease everyone.

Good find.

This is no different from any other post about realism in a game, it just happens to have something to do with women. This kind of reaction really makes you guys look stupid.
I don't care about the issue at all, just like most of the time when it's about realism, but this braindead pavlovian reaction, as soon as a topic even slightly concerns women, it's just sad and intellectually lazy.
You could just say you prefer representation over realism, but no, of course everyone is a loser and a misogynist.

ugh this thread full of SJWs is nauseating..even have a moderator chiming in low-key with their biases. Most players enjoy realism and immersion even in a fantasy setting..if the world is going to be filled with women warriors they may as well stuff it with bipedal dog warriors, it would be just as realistic.

I have to agree with both.
This thread and the reactions are really just a sad joke.

Are you people yelling "sexism" here think you are doing your cause any service or act like grown up people?
For you surely don't.
What a travesty.

The option to disable woman warriors is still there, first you have to become the emperor of calradia. Then execute all women.

You're doing no better by baiting, intentional or not. OP knew what they were getting into when they posted, said so themselves. This whole topic is full of stupid. SJW's for championing a cause that wasn't being attacked. Anti-SJW's claiming something along the lines of free speech/expression. People feeling the need to thumb their noses at both groups to feel like adults instead of letting the children fight.

Being mad or disappointed about historical accuracy in a fantasy version, as depicted by a group of people we paid to play in their playground, of medieval Europe is definitely a personal issue that you can easily solve via the mod I linked. Everyone can get what they want, no developer time wasted for people's preferences (my whole reason for *****ing essentially). Even the OP was happy.

Any one left getting their feathers ruffled about anything at this point is asking for a pointless arguments.

An option with a few sliders to adjust the percentage of male to female in different areas would have satisfied most of the players, maybe in the future.

There's nothing wrong with the OP wanting that option, doesn't make him misogynistic. I personally don't mind fantasy gender equality in games but it's just a preference.

On the other hand, out of all the things to worry about, this is pretty insignificant.

Personally, I'd prefer female Lords to be rare but not completely removed. The same goes for companions.

Nice idea of a slider.

>buh buh Calradia is fictional so who cares about some woman warriors?
People who say this should not be involved in making any important decisions about anything ever.
Yes it's fictional but its so off putting to see so many woman warlords. Everyone would be complaining if there were cell phones or some **** because its not ****ing realistic.

I don't understand how someone can consider it misogynist to suggest that history be reflected in a game which is largely based off of a historical period. But apparently it's not misogynist to whitewash the era and pretend that women were granted equal rights back then?

Now when you make even the slightest departure from reality into fantasy, this does not give you a license to freely change whatever you want with the quality remaining the same. You must carefully pick and choose where you depart so as to only do so where it adds value to your world. For example, in Lord of the Rings, there aren't flying watermelons and laser guns: such things are not in fitting with the specific departures from history that the world chose to take, and they would not have added anything to the world, other than to make it seem silly and without any structure.

There doesn't seem to be any justification for the level of gender equality in what is essentially dark age Europe and the Near East. It wasn't there historically, and I can't see any reason for adding it, as it doesn't make the game more fun. We end up starting in a world which seems like it has been crafted without care.

The main reasons the initial prevalence of gender equality is not fun:
1. It takes away from the unique experience of playing a female warrior in the dark ages (lack of reason to play both male and female)
2. It takes away the player's ability to become a king or queen so as to shape the world in a way they would prefer (lack of reason to become monarch)
3. It detracts from the general immersion of a dark age medieval setting (lack of reason to play the game, rather than something more immersive)

It would be fun to play as a female character, become a queen (through great difficulty), and then equalise the succession of titles (or make it female-preference). That's a game the current setup does not allow.

I don't know any reason that the current setup is fun, and the people defending it seem to be just throwing out this frankly ridiculous argument that anyone who disagrees with the setup is misogynist.

What I want to know is where are the sliders for increasing the presence of people of color.

edit: there was a huge amount of people of african descent in medieval europe

Women's slight deficit in upper body strength does not and never did make it "physically impossible" for them to be warriors.

My dude the difference in upper body women is not "slight", lol, it's huge. The average 20 year old woman is still significantly weaker than the average 80 year old man.

I don't care very much a out women having a larger role in the game but this mad stuff folk push these days about men and women even being CLOSE in terms of physical strength is really confusing.

Siiigh...really? Did we really need this to happen? We really needed to have gender wars about a fantasy setting gender mix? Special...so special.

Please, just stop. There will be mods that cater to your personal desires for a world of manflesh. Just like there will be a mess of mods with bikini armor for...other interests. Just try to remember there are rather a lot of misogynists out there at the moment, several of them leading nations. Let's not encourage a massive co-opting of Bannerlord as the next great fight between the the man-haters and the woman-haters. No one wins then.

It has nothing to do with man-hating or woman-hating.
If your worldview is that limited, you are the one with problems.

Some people enjoyed the extra realism and the extra challenge. What's so hard to understand? Why the need to project whatever political view one has?

This discussion has been had many times before, and surely will be started again many times in the future. The fact of the matter is, the game is in a fictional setting and creative liberty gives TaleWorlds the freedom to make the characters they want. If you don't like what they do, that's fine, but since this is exclusively an SP problem then I can safely suggest that you mod the game to your liking and be content. If you don't want to do that, too bad. Deal with it.
