What happened to the option for disabling women warriors?

Virtue signal all you want but this is just immersion breaking to have so many women fighters. For a game that's so good and getting things right in terms of authenticity this is disappointing. Women weren't warriors in this time period because it was and is physically impossible. This was an option in M&B 1 - I"m simply asking it be continued. If not, will it be able to be modded out? I'm not saying it shouldn't be an option for those that want it - of course that's fine - but those of us who don't should be able to disable the wokeness.

Mount and Blade isn't historically accurate and wasn't intended to be soo.

Warband didn't have an option for it.

Get your misogynist crap out of here.

I am pretty sure I have seen such an option aswell.
I don't care about this at all, but claiming someone is misogynist for wanting something to be depicted closer to reality is just plain stupid.

I would also like the option to get rid of all the fictional faction names and place names.

None of these places existed historically and it's breaking my immersion.

Guys, drinking from my skull is not very realistic, I believe that should be removed from the game. It's ruining my immersion.

All the troops are male, relax lol
This is true, but I've just started playing the game and 5 out of the 5 characters I've encountered so far are female warlords. It's just dumb. Powerful queens/faction leaders, doctors, tradespeople - I can get on board with that but a female warrior (companions) would be squashed like a grape in the first 2 seconds of combat. The rest of the game is pretty realistic about the time period (geographic locations don't matter - weapons, siege equipment, trade goods, political system, etc. do).

Normally the "muh realism ******ry" is instant in every thread, but as soon as it's a topic tlike this, there is noone to be seen and instead you get some brainless, completely pointless virtue signaling. It's pathetic.

I thought I just got lucky or sth, for me it is like 8/10 companions are female.

+1 to this post. I am disappointed to see that Taleworlds cucked their game in this fashion. Didn't realize Calradia became so misogynistic between the events of Bannerlord and Warband. They should at least try to explain that in their own cannon (have fun with that).

There are more female companions in the game than male, lol. Super ridiculous. Female commanders/fighters should not be nearly as common as they are now.

It is kind of distracting that literally every companion character I've met has been female so far, and it doesn't seem like there's the whole "people don't take women seriously" thing anymore, which is a shame because that's the whole reason I made my first character a woman...

Breaking out the "misogyny" pish. Very predictable.

Siiigh...really? Did we really need this to happen? We really needed to have gender wars about a fantasy setting gender mix? Special...so special.

Please, just stop. There will be mods that cater to your personal desires for a world of manflesh. Just like there will be a mess of mods with bikini armor for...other interests. Just try to remember there are rather a lot of misogynists out there at the moment, several of them leading nations. Let's not encourage a massive co-opting of Bannerlord as the next great fight between the the man-haters and the woman-haters. No one wins then.

Save yourselves the energy of debating how this is immersion-breaking and how wanting to get rid of it is somehow purely based on misogyny.
The game has a fictional setting, hence creative liberties compared to historic inspiration.
Imo if you don't want to hire a female companion, don't hire them. There's almost one companion per city, you're bound to gather your merry band of brothers together. There will probably be a tweaking tool quite quickly that can change this and other variables you find obstructive to your SP experience.
Now dial down the hostility.

I liked the female troops in Warband kinda disappointed they are not in this one yet. This is a fictitious game absolutly nothing should ruin the immersion since the immersion is what the creators want it to be.

These are video game characters. Want to know my complete thought process for the first time I encountered a female lord? (Lady, technically but they call them lords I think).

"Oh! The Commander is having his daughter command the archer line. Neat!"

And then I moved on with cleaving the heads on some unfortunate Khuzaits who dared stand against Battanian supremacy.

If you really care, most of the power figures are still male. 7 of the 8 faction leaders are male. One of the quests involves retrieving a daughter that elopes to escape a potential arranged marriage. Most of the female companions I have seen have had some consequence for them being women. If you want a male-centric setting you still have it. Its just closer to 80% dominance rather than 99% dominance.

The most I ever thought of this is that it was a little weird that the Vlandians of all people seemed to have a larger concentration of female lords. I'd have figured the Battanians or Sturgians would have the most but frankly I don't care much.

Want to know the interesting bit? This actually is supported somewhat from Warband. Any time a female PC asks to become a lord the king cites that there have been precedents in Calradian history. History you are now playing through. The Claimant for Swadia cites this too.

TLDR: Go kill some Khuzaits. Its fun for the whole family!

Just to get this straight...They are people in this forum, playing this game, who complain about female characters actually being part of the game, for instance being a female warlord.

What.the.****. This is pure misogyny and utter nonsense. Females not being warlords in a fictional world has literally no rational reasoning.

Well, the game is historically realistic though... as stated by the devs several times, just sayin... I think making female warriors faction specific would be a better choice, like I've met many Vlandian female commanders and I think they don't really fit in in a Western European looking faction, I'd rather see them with Battanians or Sturgians.

Why the hell everyone so hostile though? People cant simply say what they think nowadays...

Did you even play Warband?? I think most people liked how it was handled in that game. No one is asking for this option becuase they don't like women in general. Taleworlds has changed their stance on this since Warband, and we all know why...
