I did not mean it like eastern Empire will completely be slavic etc.
All of them will be Roman while they also will carry different influences from different cultures.

Also opposite, it will not make sense if all 3 empire factions have the same culture.
Calradian Empire was an Empire not a tribal confederation with only one ethnicity.
It doesnt have to be a cultural based civil war to create cultural differences from Empire faction to Empire faction.
Rome also splitted because of political stuff yet ERA quickly greekified after that.

Empires dont even have to split in order to Show influences from different cultures in different provinces.

Did you think that Ottoman Egypt and Ottoman Balkans were same ?

If I may enter the discussion.
From what we know about Calradian empire it was a huge state which covered many lands. Logically these lands had to be taken from some other culture before. And as much they probably tried to "caldariniaze" them part of cultures prevailed. Then how was the empire organised (counties, provinces, dioceses etc.) It is well possible that these prevailed cultural elements also influenced these parts of Empire so they evolved their certain cultural look.
Even today in united, integrated countries you can find various cultural aspects. Even in small ones like the Czech Republic and what about vast Calradian empire. So KhergitLancer80 has a point there

It seems the western empire is popular because people think it'll be like the western Roman empire. They'll be in for a suprise when they realise all three imperial factions are the same and based more on a byzantine culture.

I'm hoping the next blog is Sturgia, as I really want to know what kind of culture they are. I hope they are more Slavic than they have currently appeared. The battanians will hopefully satisfy everyone wanting to play the barbarian style faction, leaving the Slavs to salivate over Sturgia. I hope Sturgia have a sort of Veche/Wiec, which was a sort of gathering by Slavic noblility, to perhaps elect or confirm an heir.

It has been confirmed that Sturgia is the 'Viking' faction. Also, we dont want to play barbarians, we want to play vikings. Battanians are celts.

I haven't seen any concrete confirmation to suggest Sturgia is a Viking inspired faction. Blog 7 only links Vikings to Warband's Nords, whilst Sturgians are only mentioned as 'specialising in axe and sword-wielding footmen'.

Can the author of this topic make it so you can change your vote? I hope it doesn't make the poll lose its results.

I remember enabling it so you could vote twice, unfortunately the option isn't there. Only a reset. Maybe I'll do a reset when all the blogs have been released?

Good idea, then we can see what the results look like after an informed decision.

Why dont we just start a new poll after all the blogs are out? Theres a big chance that theres some fuests or new people who wont change their votes

Khuzaits are increasing ! They used to be 6.9% Now they are 7.5%

Hell yeah ! Khuzaits increased 0.2% only in one day
They are now 7.7%

-New information added for sturgia as well as 2 new minor factions-

Interesting quote I found; 'but it's not really a Viking state: the Nordlands are off of the map (for the present, anyway)'

Possible DLC?

Also this; 'We've been working on the close-up foot-slogging side of Mount and Blade. Look out for high-tier AI opponents bashing you with their shield in the teeth, following it up with a blade going into your ribs. Disciplined infantry will be more likely to stay in formation, and will leave a space for a player in their ranks so you don't get crowded too closely by your allies'

Finally I can be allowed in a shield-wall, which I'm hoping, will be as effective as it was for the Vikings.

Vlandia is basically Swadia, and I've always been in love with Swadia. My Xbox clan is Swadian based, were modelled after the Knights Templar. I even went as far as to adapt our code and rules after the original knight's code. my only regret is that they changed the name and when i refer to them as swadia, all the new players won't understand.
