I should mention that we recently made some changes to our siege preparation. Previously, a player who besieged a castle had to select what they wanted to build from a number of engines, one by one. Recently, however, we introduced a new tactics feature. Now, the player will select one of the siege tactics available and will get a preloaded waiting list for siege engines that are useful to the selected tactic. The player will be able to start the bombardment as soon as any machine is finished and will be able to start damaging the defences of the town/castle even before starting the siege mission (battle). The tactic can be changed at any point during the waiting time, based on the defender’s tactic, or any other events occurring in the world at that moment.”

“We are currently working on something we call settlement issues. They represent conflicts in a settlement between NPCs, or general problems that may arise. These events will pop up randomly during the game and they will affect the properties of a settlement (prosperity, morale, etc.).

The player will have to find a solution to that problem in a specific timeframe using whatever means they can. Issues may lead to different quests or may encourage players to make changes to their current management style.”

I imagine this will probably be along the lines of how these things worked in VC (although I hope they're more streamlined/involved). If anyone hasn't played VC, every once in a while a screen will pop up, sometimes it's when you enter a settlement, sometimes while you're in a siege, sometimes just randomly. It will have some scenario such as "One of your soldiers raped an officer's wife", or "A young noble has spread rumours about you," for example, and you're offered a few choices, such as kill, fine, or ignore the soldier, or ignore, challenge, or spread counter rumours for the young noble. I hope in BL they take advantage of the persuasion system with these, as in VC it became a matter of taking all the choices until you find which one's best (or just looking them up). I'd much rather have to negotiate my way through peasant revolts or tense disputes between major families than click a button and see "The officer is pleased with the execution, but your soldiers lose morale" every time it happens.

Well, it wouldn't be bad if they opted for that. It would be interesting to mix the random events of VC and ACOK together.
 
It wouldn't break my heart if they explained nothing else, ran the beta and then released the game with lots of unexplained parts left for me to discover on my own; in other words, just like Warband.
 
Yeah, I'd also be fine with that. But as there doesn't seem to be an end in sight, might as well explain a little, right?

Personally, I wouldn't care if they didn't explain anything more.  Once the game is released, all will become clear soon enough.

Ye can always stop reading this post if ye dont want to ruin yer gaming experience? and let those who doesnt care about spoilers keep up their work? I like this post alot as it gives me a General idea o wha The game might consist o and have something to look forward to, and i dont really see yer posts here as productive at all.
 
My post wasn't intended to be productive and my opinion is every bit as important as everyone else.  I can't stop anyone from ruining their gaming experience but I can warn them about it.
