What else remains to be explained?

I look forward to the day when all items are struck from the list, and upon review we can see that most of the answers are to our liking.

The Sergeant System has been explained slightly (there are still enough doubts about it) in the last blog "Order of Battle". We strike it from the list.
Not a single question from the community was answered when they arose after that blog. I wonder why.

Well they rarely respond to any questions that are asked after a blog is published, as far as I am aware.
My experience is that you need to brake out a smaller rebellion to get answered, proving that the blog was ambiguous and clarification is interesting for a larger group of ppl.

Callum responds occasionally. Some logs he answers many questions. They were such simple questions this time around.

I'd settle for this. And if they in the Gamescom gave the release date, then we could all relax.  :iamamoron:

I said I'd be good boy if Callum provided information; we give him a couple of days of truce and if he doesn't answer we take out the pitchforks and torches.

Ah, a pitchfork? What a peasant surprise!

Reviving this thread for a question re: NPC relations.

From Gamescom '18 footage we saw that completing quests for NPCs raises your relations with them, much like Warband.  Combined with NPCs being the source of recruits, I imagined a gameplay strategy involving building up relations as much as possible with a few key NPCs across a handful of towns and villages, so that I can quickly build up quality troops of my choice.

However, given character death a natural question is what happens to your +100 relations with an NPC once your character dies and you play as their heir?  Ideally there would be some 'transfer' of the good relations you have built up to your heir, or maybe to your clan more generally.  It would not only mean that investing in NPCs pays off beyond your starting character's lifetime, but in-game too I would think anybody would look more kindly on the family and children of one of their good friends.

If that's not the case, I'm a bit disappointed because it means there's limited returns to becoming best friends with an NPC (unless it's possible to build up relations relatively quickly).  Either way I hope this gets answered during Gamescom or after.

Presumably the NPC notables have limited lifetimes as well? Your friendly recruiter who you've been getting high-tier troops from might well kick the bucket before your own character does!

One question about individual combat AI improvements.

Will AI still behave like homing missiles always trying to hug you? Or are they improved in any ways?
(From what I have seen in gameplay videos it seems identical to the warband system)

Until they show something about it, we're in the dark. We will cross our fingers to finally find those three levels of AI correctly applied, resembling what they sold us in previous blogs.

The videos from the previous Gamescom showed a silly AI and it was said that the difficulty setting was set to the lowest.
If we go back to the PC Weekender 2016 video, we see at the beginning of the video a small skirmish in a forest. The npc seems to want to surround the PJ and in fact get it to the point that the player must make use of Ctrl+H.

Thanks for the heads up.
I didn't know gamescom AI were low difficulty, but it is just logical given that apperantly the majority of players there have never played any mont and blade titles before.

To be honest I forgot about these old footages (it was so long ago...). This encercling behaviour is a bit promising but could also be accidental. And also the strong hugging compulsion can be well observed.

Some improved footwork with AI keeping distance to the enemy, according to the enemy's weapon of choice would be a huge improvement to the combat gameplay. By the way it is one of the most important aspects (besides timing) in meele combat. You want to be on the edge of your oppents reach, and find the perfect moment to get inside, hit, and get back to the edge of safety...
The AI's standing in your face is contraproductive. It not just makes your attacks ineffective but his own too. It is just simply annoying, ruining gameplay.

I really hope they will come up with a devblog detailing all the fantastic changes to the individual AI combat system. Or we can try it out in the open beta right after gamescom (2019)...

By the way I think this way of lowering difficulty is far from optimal. I dont think making the opponents braindead is the way to do it.
I would keep their behaviour the same, just lower their skills to make their reactions slower, their aim worse. This way players on lower difficulty will not play a different game. Everyone would get the same expereince with oppents matching their skills, and I think this is the goal in the end.

I do't want spamming, but version,to choose version of game for every.....0.05 version,so the mods can be playable if stab at some time.

Even you have your own thread for this. If you are expecting some developer will show up and answer your question, you are mistaken. I mean, that can happen but it is so rare to see.

It is very important thing,i think, maybe be listed in topic?

It's a single post asking about enabling mod compatibility in a compilation thread for unanswered questions. It's relevant and restrained, so it's not spam. The best way to deal with spam is to report it and move on, so please do that in the future.

Agreed. The ability to roll back game versions is important for a game whose predecessor has been sustained by mods for nearly a decade. Some clarity on this would be appreciated, especially because the multiplayer aspect of the game complicates this.

Please do not derail the thread Orion, stay on topic!

Besides that: Greenlight does have a point, some kind of rollback would be great.

If you have it through steam wouldn't you be able to disable auto-update? I know it's not quite the same thing, but you should at least be able to keep playing a mod on a version that works until it also gets an update.
