As it was written in the latest update post along with patch 0.582,

http://sami.is.free.fr/datas/temp/Native Expansion Siege Add-on.zip (Credits to Lord Samuel and the team of Lords&Realms)
This version is NOT compatible with previous saves.

What does it change?

P.S.

A noobish question, help me please.

How do you install this texture pack included in the update thread?

https://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?cid=3&id=679 (this texture pack will enhance the looks of the game)

The Readme.txt from this rar didn't say anything. What files/folders should I overwrite and/or should I use some editor stuff? Thanks in advance!

The Siege Pack changes the scenes during sieges (d'oh, stupid sentence). More then one ladder and so on.
Oh and apparently they overlooked something and so it also alters the arenas in the four "capitals" a little bit.

Haven't seen the texture pack yet oO
But if it's something like the other texture packs out there you unzip it into the M&B Texture Folder or the into the NE texture folder (make Backups!).
I don't know either. But there should be a hell lot of guides/faq about something like this on the fourms. Well, somewhere...

As explained by Wellenbrecher, the NE Scene Add-on includes:

:: Nick Altman's L&R Siege Pack ::
  - 58 new siege scenes (Towns & Castles), adding at least one ladder to EACH siege.
  - 4 new tournament scenes (also from the L&R team)

:: 75 New Scene Designs (except in the Vaegirdom) ::
  - Many redone Lord's Halls (Towns & Castles) (by myself)
  - Many redone Town Centers (also by myself).

Some of the most changed scenes are: Tihr Center, Uxkhal Center, Tulga Center, and... Veluca Lord's Hall.

Check them out!

So the new halls are your work?
Congratulation, they're really cool!
I really like Sargoth and the one with the book shelves (can't remember which one that was).

Edit: spelling -.-

From the looks of it, some of it are supposed to replace native's dds files e.g. mail_and_plate - 1.dds is supposed to replace native's mail_and_plate.dds (the different numbers at the end of the filename mean they are alternate textures which you can choose to replace from). Some are pretty straight forward some are not as they are a bit vague, I can't tell which files are they supposed to replace or whether it needs to be referenced via BRFedit with certain armors. Some of them appear to be duplicates of native texture files...

If you can open the dds files (using plugin or whatever) you can compare them to the native dds files and find out which files you can replace manually.

Are there any screenshots of the texture pack?

Does it fix those horrible new armours?  Lordly plate armour my ass, looks like something a 13 year old made for The Sims. >.>

Well the texture pack included this useful readme:

So, I made a backup copy of my Textures folder for Native Expansion and then threw the texture pack in there.  I didn't notice any differences in the game at all, so I guess its more complicated than that.

Nope. It's not supposed to change anything yet. Does it say it does? They're textures to be used later.

Oh, well the .582 download thread is kind of misleading then, stating:

IMPORTANT!!!! You also need to install these patches:

They are game ready textures, they're just not plug-n-play.

You have to rename the dds files, e.g. mail_and_plate - 1.dds to mail_and_plate.dds (so it replaces the old native dds).

Alright, but if a download link is provided for something which has a description stating that it will do something, the assumption is that it will do something once you download and install it, not that it will perhaps do something at some point in the future.

I'll take your word for it that they are working textures that can be replaced manually somehow, but I'm not a modder and I'm not interested in learning how to do it.  I'll just wait for them to be presented the way that the creators of the mod want them to be.

If I'm not mistaken, the creator of the textures released the textures as is for other modders to use. It wasn't supplied for people "uninterested" in learning to do some simple minor modding. You don't have to use it if you're not willing to spend a small amount of effort.

Btw, just for further clarification: it's not necessary to overwrite native's textures. Just drop the new textures into your mod's textures folder but you still need to rename the files so that it is the same name as the native textures.

Have fun.

You've gotten some bizarre, unclear answers in regards to my texture pack. Let me try to clarify. The texture pack is not an add-on, nor is it a modification. It is a resource for people designing and working on M&B modifications. You can use textures from this pack to replace textures in Native, but that is not nor has it ever been the purpose. It is a resource supplied to modders, to implement new items with a unique design and variations.

Edit: You can find the thread for this texture pack, here.

Huh? New items? But most of the texture I see in the pack appears to be... well, for use by native models? Hence why it was assumed to be used to replace the old textures.

You can create a new item using an existing mesh.

Ah... I thought a new "new" item... Since it's using the existing meshes and the item probably renamed differently I would've still seen it as a retexture rather than a new item

Thanks for clarifying its actual purpose though.

I don't see the changes from the sieige add on though....can some people give some specific changes I can look at side by side or something please and thank you.
