Does it affect what's returned in loot when looting villages only, or does it affect loot when you fight enemies too? Thanks!

Cool, so it's worth putting a few points into, i've always neglected it, but if it can land some better gear/loot, all the better!

Have one of your companions invest in it, only put in a few points for a small 'leader bonus' (I only put at most two in any party skill)

giving 30 agility to a companion makes him a maniac that you dont want to face in a tournament

works best on alayen since he starts at level 2 so that means many more skill points available. stacked agility, weapon master, and looting

Increases quality of loot, how much denar you get from battles, how fast you loot villages, and thats all...i think...

Edit: Btw, im pretty sure i read somewhere that it doesnt actually increase the amount of loot you get.

I'm not sure if it increases loot either, but it does increase the quality of the loot

插入代码块:
("looting","Looting",sf_base_att_agi|sf_effects_party,10,"This skill increases the amount of loot obtained by 10%% per skill level. (Party skill)"),

In the original it worked very well, I can't imagine it breaking.
I don't play Warband though, so someone else will have to confirm your worry.

I've invested 6 points in looting (since lvl20, now lvl30), so that's a total of 8 in party screen... 99% of loot still has broken type modifiers.  Found one Masterwork item (Nomad Bow) and a handful of balanced/tempered/thick/reinforced items.  Going for 21 Ag so will see if 10 Looting (including +3 modifier) will be noticeable.

Wish defeated Lord's armies had a greater chance of positive modifier eq... doesn't seem so.  Is it true that capturing enemies yields better loot?

I was under the impression that the Looting skill did not increase the quality of loot, but rather the quantity.

I've also seen posts about vanilla mount & blade's Looting skill not working correctly, and also altered Looting skills in some vanilla mods (such as native expansion, which changed it quite a bit)

Would like some kind of feedback on experiences with the looting skill and without.

Yeah why does searaders give better loot than enemy armys?

Could be that it only increases number of looted items per foe, which should increase the frequency of actually finding something not broken/worn.

I forgot that I've also found 2 masterwork short bows... because they suck- fast but ~20 dam with 4 power draw requirement, and 2 masterwork hunting bows (lowliest bow with no requirements).

could somebody please confirm if looting does(n't) increase battle looting? thanks
Looting certainly does increase the quantity of items you get after a battle. There's no doubt about that. From my experience, it seems the quality is unchanged though.

These statements are both true. The skill gives you more stuff, but doesn't change the quality. However, if you get more stuff, the more likely that you get at least something of a higher quality.

Yes, it increases chance that you get balanced scythe since you get 10 instead of 7 on the loot screen. It does not make so much difference as far as higher level items are considered.

I guess there must be some code to limit appearance of high level items on loot screen. Try to fight deserter band of equal size, let say Khergit lancers. You would expect loot screen full of their stuff: scale armours, chargers, hafted blades. What you get however is half empty screen with few items of value.

So looting can get you bit more money from loot, but it will not make it much more easier to find really valuable stuff, like high level armours and weapons. At last I did not noticed difference (with looting skill at 6 ...which should equal to 60% more loot).
