haha, the irish pride themselves on drinking beer, and whiskey. you'd lose with their drinks, and they would probably lose at yours! it all balances out lol

being half scottish, the irish are like long-lost cousins to me. this means i think of them in a highly disparaging manner - alcoholic racists that cling to a defunct religion like a favorite teddy bear. the scottish(and those with scottish blood) arent exactly renowned for soft speech! i'll also readily admit that we're hardly innocent of the alcoholism or the racism

Only ever been to Shannon, seems to be a frequent stopping point for chartered airliners delivering troops to the middle east.  So, not exactly the longest or most experienced of visits, and maybe a bit blown out of proportion on the upside, considering I knew where I was going afterwards, but...

The Irish people were rather friendly, the Irish beer was rather good, and the land itself made me redifine my personal definition of thew word "green".
