What do you think about the new new skill system?

The difference of warband and bannerlord skill system is that that when you kill an enemy, you don't get global experience , instead you only promote you single hand or arrow skill. I think this skill system has defective:
1. Other skill like engineering is very hard to promote.
2. Lack of feedback. After you kill thousands of enemy without getting any experience, you fill bored.
So please let us get global experience like warband!

I also like it. It is something new and refreshing. But I have to agree with especially with your second point. There is little to no feedback about progress. I constantly have to recheck my character, because I don't really get information if I have unlocked a new perk.

Roguery skill should also be grinded by raiding villages, why it's not included no idea honestly. Early game raiding caravans yeah good luck with that, on realistic

I like the concept for the skills, but it's implemented in a very unbalanced way. I'm sure TW will balance it. This is an unfinished project.

I kinda like it, way more realistic than simply picking the thing you want to be too overpowered. But progress feels very slow for some skills, I'm stuck at level 45 with one-handed for God knows how long, and I still have got no clue if riding makes me go faster like a path finding skill or not. I think I miss the cliche approach of Warband while still enjoying this one.
It is good, but it needs balancing imho

I actually really like it
Means you need to specialise companions for real
But battle is the core of this game. Most player spend 70% or more time in battle. But in bannerlord player can't get experience from battle. In bannerlord, what't the difference between I kill a high level knight and a low level reaver? I get more proficiency ? When my proficiency is over 200 and it's hard to promote , I get nothing form kill an enemy. When you kill thousands of enemy without any positive feedback, you will be tired of battle. It's sad.

I personally think there are lots of positives about the new system. It needs tweaking though.

When you pass your 'skill cap' xp decreases dramatically, effectively soft capping that skill.
To increase that skill your character must level.
To increase your character level you must skill.

You effectively get 30 skill cap per attribute (10 x 3 skills); You get 30 skill cap per focus point. If I want the last one handed perk I need a skill of 275.
At max you can invest 5 focus points, the first attribute point doesn't count, and I assume you can go over 10 on attributes.
Max Focus = 150, so I need 125 (or 130) from attributes. This needs an attribute score of 14.
Now if I pick an origin story to max vigor, I can start at 8. I need 6 from attributes (6*3+1) so now I need to be level 19.
(Edit: Not all attributes can do this, for example social can only reach 7 from origins, meaning a required level 22, dangerously close to the level 25 soft cap)

To achieve level 19 I have to have 1065 skill points scattered among my abilities. 270 of those are in one handed sure, but effectively 800 have to be somewhere else. Each of those other skills are only getting 10 cap from attributes because I'm the most vigorous man around, so those can only possibly go to 160 (besides two handed and polearms, which why would I want to be in all 3)
So I need effectively 5 other skills literally as high as I can make them. Or 10 skills half that. By the way there are only 12 non-combat skills, and I need to dabble in all of them to master the sword.

Finally, the point at which increasing skill-up requirements for leveling catches up with skill cap growth from leveling is 25. Assuming you don't grind out a skill in which you have met the cap, to achieve level 25 you have to use every inch of cap space available to you wherever that may be.
(Edit: And there is an actual hard cap if you are too far past skill cap, which seems to be about 50 skill points over your soft cap, where the penalty seems to shift from -50% xp to -100%. This puts an actual hard cap just before level 32 at 2610 skill points.)

If someone knows how to change game values so values related to leveling I would love to know thanks.
(focus/attribute effect on skill cap, skill ups per level, frequency of attribute points, any of those)

Lot's of tweaking, lot's and lot's of tweaking, but the foundation is great for sure. They need more skill tho, like trainer, scavanger and something else.

Roguery needs tons of tweaking, exp and how you get them aswell.

Maybe more choices in each skill aswell and the ability to take both of them.

It's fantastic. Roguery and some others need some help I agree. But a lot of "hard to promote" skills aren't actually that hard. Just late game.
Leadership: Raise an army that'll raise it at a nice pace
Charm: Capture and let lords go/do jobs for people
Tactics: Be bossy
Scouting: Ngl no clue, needs a lot of help.
Surgery: Also needs help I'd say
Trade: A bit slow but easy enough
Weapon skills: duh
Smithing: definitely too slow but it's easy to understand
Steward: easiest thing in the world, buy lots of food variety and watch it sore
Engineering: Goes up quick enough when building siege equipment, a bit of a chore but isn't too bad.
Athletics: ****ing annoying LOL
Riding: way too slow

By late game what do you mean? the moment you reach 100 at any one of them even if you grind, the world is already conquered by 1 faction.

By late game I mean by the time you reach clan tier 3. By then I highly doubt a faction will have the world conquered. Maybe a major faction or two will be destroyed.

in one of my saves i joined sturgians that got obliterated by the western + soutern empire and khuzait khanate maybe this has to do when i decided to progress in main quest. alot of the clans just left and joined the enemy factions both the empire and kuzait. And that went fairly fast in like couple of days sturgia lost all of his domains felt weird to see lords switch from allegiance that fast maybe it's intended but not sure?

I’ve reached 100 in stewardship and almost reached 100 in 3 more and clan level 4 almost 5 and I have my own kingdom and two teenage sons but all the original factions are still here with different towns and castles and I have taken some too

I really like the concept of the new skill system. However, it feels like weapon skill levels are meaningless beyond the perks they unlock. The minimum skill allows you to use any weapon effectively so long as you, the player, are competent with it. Level/perks are just bonuses. I don't like that, particularly with respects to ranged weapons.
It also feels like the criteria for passively increasing some skills are too specific, and progression slow especially for companions. Athletics and Leadership off the top of my head.
I'm also not sure I like that you don't level skills during tournaments/arena fights.
