What do you guys want the game to be as a finished product?

This is a question for Taleworlds. Despite my latter bitterness on this forums, I want to remain hopeful on this game's development, but I just wish questions like this could be answered for us the people who bought the game and support the company with money, with criticism and with suggestions, because a lot of us don't know what vision you have for this game as a finished product.
This problem has clearly caused a disconnection between you and the community, we are left to make our own conclusions, theories of what the game will end up being, and it causes so much discomfort to pay for a game and don't know what you will really get out of it. I know this development isn't still, that some ideas may come or go but if there is a direction then why are we not allowed to know about it? Why are we kept in the dark until you throw us some patch or a short list of momentary ideas? In the end, you will see what it's better for your product and maybe you have reasons to hide those intentions for the future of this game, but I think the last few months have been a proof of general discontent between us.

dats wy EA games always suck.

I know this was a question for TW but they will most likely not reply, just like the other 50 threads when this question was asked.
More depth
More mechanics
More decision making
Just more, which sounds privileged but there isnt anything to do except fighting battles.
And everything you can do in the game just leads to fighting a battle.
And every single one of those battles is the same. Either F1-F1 or F1-F3.
You can do try to start using tactics but the AI won't so its just a pure number battle who has more archers/horse archers

I would want Ambushes so that a significantly smaller army can beat a bigger one.
Religions.
Cultural differences that go beyond what type of soldiers they use, special food that only certain cultures eat but give more moral to those guys.
Let me raid villages in real time and not just with a timer that starts to run out. While the villagers all of a sudden pop up with 50 times as many villagers than the village has huts. And then we stop raiding and get into a nice line formation? Wtf?
Villages that change looks when upgraded. We already got a dumped down version of what we were shown literally years ago. Villages and city management right now feels like a stupid web game from the early 2000's. Just pushing numbers absolutely 0 visual change.
I would like to be a real bandit, ith my own hideout.
Own customizable troops.
A real banner editor.
Finally Bannerbearers.
Feasts.
Tournaments who feel like a tournament not the mosh pits we have now. Where the only difference is if the arena has light brown or dark brown sand.
I want tjosting in Vlandia, Arena fights in the Empire.
Archery tournaments in Khuzait. And so on.
Be able to smith more than just melee weapons and throwables.
Serious diplomacy that goes beyond "at war - not at war"
Real personalities
Mercenary armies that can actually be hired not some drunken loners in a tavern that charge half a million for 2 mediocre archers
Balancing
Why would I ever wanna go for a crossbow if a bow can penetrate armor just as much but fires twice as fast and can be used on a horseback
Battle maps with a river that is deeper than just 2cm with a bridge that can be defended
In general better battlemaps, with ruins. Fog.
Weather effects.
Roads on the world map
Castles be at useful positions not in the middle of nowhere
Lords who rebel against their Kings without having the need to join another Kingdom.
Basically, as said so often on these forums, the game that warband was with mods 10 years ago. Something that really feels like an improvement to Warband. Not just a retextured version of the predecessor

All the ideas and suggestions we had at the beginning of EA are out of my expectations now, as well as the announced features, the game ought to have in the end.
I just want the game to be called "complete" so that the modders can take over.

I am just really curious if TW is proud of their game. Not their sales but their game.

not only that, we paid in full, up front for a totally underdeveloped and unfinished product - a real slap in the face. Should have been half price, on top of it they discounted it iwthin the first few Months LOL wow.

Dont expect anything.

Paid $32.00 from GMG, so I'm happy....

happy for you, i think thats a more reasonable price. I would have been happy to pay that (not for the 3 happy meals, but because its totally asymmetric in terms of product value standards in the gaming industry, but I digress).

It´s not important what you paid, the "official" price is important, and the official price is 49,99€. That´s a AAA price. At least for me the range for AAA titles is from 49,99 to 59,99. Good indie games are between 9,99 - 24,99.

Here is what I want :

- Feasts
- Diplomacy, alliances
- Cinematics (marriage, feasts, etc)
- Hunts
- Good units pathfinding
- Heroes getting married and having childs
- Cities more "alive"
- Walls totally destructible during sieges
- Plots, intrigue
- Every single detail that can add depth to the game, it looks dead atm

expected to see something other than just "player has been married on x" on my first playthru

Yes, I mean, imagine just some cinematics when you take an important decision, for example when a King is gathering his bannerets, when someone important is dead, how the latter has died (Lord Sputim has been decapitated by ... Lord Sputim died in the battle of bla bla bla), you know, small details, Lord Sputim has lost his mind etc... It would make the game much more alive, consistent. Or even, it can be just a drawing with a small text beside, just something that binds elements between each other.

The game gets 93% recent positive reviews on Steam. Do you have an explanation why the general perception of the title is so much better?
I don't doubt that you don't like the game / feel disappointed, I am just curious where the discrepancy comes from. If you read the forums you could come to the conclusion that the game is a scam while the majority of players gives it a rating similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.

I want more RPG elements and feeling of growth in other way than military. I dont want to be the center of the world but I want that world to take notice if I've done exceptional things and the world to grow with me.

I mean if I take a town wich should be something that is huge I should atleast be able to get laid afterwards without doing that marriage game.

EDIT: Among many other thing but I'm at work and dont have time

I just want it to be something more than fight and sell junk simulator that it is now

To extend on this:
- make castles usefull and important
- make owning city/castle something big not just another poor source of money
- add some freaking economy simulation to this game cause now it's not even close to economy
- add more interactions with NPC and the world so going into scenes is worth bothering
- add some internal kingdom diplomacy between clans (alliances, clan wars etc.)
- add another way to reduce number of bandit parties that won't require running around and killing every single group.
- add options to lose renown and influence by taking certain actions like losing battle etc.

i mean, your argument is totally flawed on a few accounts (but I think i am not getting your point, see after point #2).

#1, its my opinion, its not a matter of fact - the same goes for the positive reviews
#2 positive reviews are 87% overall, and it can include people who have changed their reviews from negative to positive, because there has been some clear improvement since launch (which I note in my negative review).

On the specifics of what you are asking (I think you are asking why some ppl tend to hate it, but the perception is overall positive IE steam reviews - is that correct?)

I have a pretty simple explanation - most of the people who reviewed played it for the first time, and mount & blade as a series/concept is nothing short of revolutionary (I remember how much i loved M&B and warband, they are excellent games). If you look at the positive reviews, the vast majority are in April of 2020, as are the negative reviews.

All the positive reviews stop coming in after may. You basically have to count how many people bought the game, count how many did not vote, and then understand the discrepancy in representation of the opinions. On the forum, my perspective is that it is 50-65% (maybe even more) disappointment. Thats a stark contrast with the steam page reviews.

Also RDR2 has 82% positive, and 15,000 (out of 120,000) came in November/december), no doubt due to a $5 game release for the online mode...

You make an interested point, im just not totally convinced, or seem to understand what you are saying. Please clarify.
