What do you guys think about that characters are able to walk/run while attacking on foot?

Able to move(walk/run or maybe turn too?) while attacking, it should be stay? or Changed?

living forever, jumping off city walls and surviving, swinging like a maniac 2000 times full force while running around, getting hit with 30 arrows and surviving are also very realistic right?
edit: forgot people running around with javelins stuck in their chest and still fighting
Sigh, because it's a GAME. Realistic or Practical moves and designs are makes game looks good, natural, feels more makes sense and so on.

You mean the game where everyone uses two handed weapons and full damage is done even if the very tip of the blade scratches you at a distance? And in first person you are hit and killed even if looks like the sword missed you?
Yep. That one. Not perfect either, but you can't seriously claim that it's worse than M&B on a technical level.

Also, you don't play M&B in first person? Same thing there. It's just a matter of Field of View.

Third person only for M&B for me. Mordhau I played first person. They patched that game right off my drive with their constant nerfs to everything but the 2h duel meta

then you should probably play some other game, m&b was never and probably never will be about realism
Then dont call the realism option realistic...

Only annoying thing with movement is that you are slow as a sh*t without horse. I started new beta game ...Running only on foot, lvl. 8, Athletics on 53, and looter smile on me, when they are running to escape, because I´m slow as a sh*t.

FRAK after 8 eyers of development, they give us worse game mechanics than they had in Warband. :/
I play on foot. You can still get up to 5.7 by having a large number of horses in inventory. Travelling on the map without a horse 'equipped' is the best way to lvl up athletics. I can now outrun anyone on the battlefield at ~60 athletics and it was well worth the training.

While I'm firmly in the realism camp, I do have to say that the realism option is called such rightly, since it realistically gives you no innate advantages over other characters in the game world. Not really an important point, though.

Also after playing Mordhau a bit, i have to say I actually think, the combat is very much inferior to M&B, it does have a nice diagonal cut option, but other than that... Physics in M&B are way nicer, even animations are pretty decent.
In mordhau it just looks like a giant drunk brawl where the bar fight escalated and they found some knight gear and dressed up xD

That's because Mordhau is all about abusing animations. People proclaim it's brilliance and how realistic it is and I just smack my head. It's arcade as can be, It's nowhere near realistic it just rewards those who can handle the extreme twitchy play (no good for us old gamers) and animation abuse so everyone looks like whirling lunatics.

Totally agree, it can be a fun game tho, but more like mario kart type of fun...
the whirling lunatics bit made me laugh! i totally agree. It reminds me of when I started in my Kendo group and we started to do the first fights, Sensei shaking his head saying where did the Kendo go that i taught you!

In Mordhau the diagonal strikes come with such weird animation, the upper body bends very strange to the sides, its like they lose total control from the core.

But what i miss in Mordhau, you can only swing and then commit to the swing, and block is only a second, oh you were to early, but now you cant block again for like 2/3 seconds... Ehhh
Going for the swing but holding a bit longer can be part of the mind game tactic incl with feints!
