Make the combat like Oldschool Runescape pls

+1With the AI if you don't move too much combat can look pretty good, but in multiplayer where everyone is running around and turning like crazy it's a pretty horrible picture. I'd like to see some inertia in action, limiting the amount of direction turning while strafing and making attacking while moving slower or something. Also some stamina limitation to avoid running and swinging too much. I think with some tweaks the combat could look way better,
In singleplayer, it's fine. But in multiplayer. It reminds me of Chivarly: Medieval Warfare or Mordhau. Still better than them in many points tho.Being able to move while attacking is a fundamental core gameplay mechanic. Changing it would alienate a lot of MB veterans/fans. Granted it would be an interesting change and bring even more skill to combat.

Ehh...Bloodlust perk is stupid. Really ruins what points Mordhau racks everywhere else. Doesn't matter if you're outfighting a guy, then he kills a rando that runs in on your duel, and gets his full health back.M&B combat better than Mordhau? The only thing M&B does better is that velocity matters, IMO. Other than that - really? Mordhau is in a completely different league, quality-wise.

Of course. Becouse it adds dynamic, it makes footwork fun, and it make athletic very useful. What do you guys think? It should stay?
AgreeThe only thing M&B does better is that velocity matters,

Well, yeah, obviously the Mordhau system is built for a completely different kind of game. Unless you play M&B multiplayer, mostly.Ehh...Bloodlust perk is stupid. Really ruins what points Mordhau racks everywhere else. Doesn't matter if you're outfighting a guy, then he kills a rando that runs in on your duel, and gets his full health back.
then you should probably play some other game, m&b was never and probably never will be about realismGreat idea about momentum
My character is beginning to get a lot of athletics skill with 5 focus point and I can dance around any soldier now... it feels like im superman. But its a game, thats what people want. I, on the other hand, want as much realism as possible, even if people find it boring.
The arms and armours and fight on horse back (and so on) is pretty historical and it means realistic, or practical.then you should probably play some other game, m&b was never and probably never will be about realism
living forever, jumping off city walls and surviving, swinging like a maniac 2000 times full force while running around, getting hit with 30 arrows and surviving are also very realistic right? The arms and armours and fight on horse back (and so on) is pretty historical and it means realistic, or practical.

So it has to be 100% equal to life?living forever, jumping off city walls and surviving, swinging like a maniac 2000 times full force while running around, getting hit with 30 arrows and surviving are also very realistic right?
edit: forgot people running around with javelins stuck in their chest and still fighting
I guess yeah, infantry has no momentum but looks like it does have mass, you can clearly see bigger groups push away smaller groups in melee. Most of the game isn't based on realism, im not complaining, i like m&b for what it is and has been for the past 12 years, just saying that if you are looking for a medieval "simulator" m&b isnt the right game for you.So it has to be 100% equal to life?
They have so many realistic features in this game...
Doesnt mean they have to be 100% like real life.
To be honest, the game doesnt have to be, that you cant attack and move at same time, that will never be 100% real because animations are always limited.
But there is so much simulated in this game like real life properties, weapons that deal way more damage according to velocity, you can feel mass in so many things like weapons and horses. Yet with foot soldiers it isnt there like that, to me its inconsistent, to how the world of mount and blade works. I really feel its missing.
I would say, dont change it too much, not like a mechanic (almost like for honor where you lock on and then movements slows down) but just give a footsoldiers body more mass, cant change movement that fast and movement speed needs to build up (you can then also even increase running top speed a bit since it takes a sec to get to that speed) since you need momentum to speed up. Doesnt have to be anything huge, just give it a bit of weight.

To be honest, it does feel more realistic than Mordhau for example.I guess yeah, infantry has no momentum but looks like it does have mass, you can clearly see bigger groups push away smaller groups in melee. Most of the game isn't based on realism, im not complaining, i like m&b for what it is and has been for the past 12 years, just saying that if you are looking for a medieval "simulator" m&b isnt the right game for you.

You mean the game where everyone uses two handed weapons and full damage is done even if the very tip of the blade scratches you at a distance? And in first person you are hit and killed even if looks like the sword missed you?M&B combat better than Mordhau? The only thing M&B does better is that velocity matters, IMO. Other than that - really? Mordhau is in a completely different league, quality-wise.
