What do you do to get good fights?

Well, I've just downloaded the magnificent 200% battle-scale mod, but currently, I'm earning my living by lurking around Zendar, looking for River Pirates to take down, with the relative assistance of Marnid & Borcha both armed with whatever as ranged as possible so that they don't run and get themselves killed at the first opportunity.

Now, I'm really keen on testing out the little mod, so I have a question I've been wondering about, (Since before I've heard of the mod, BTW.), and that is, when you people go out to get a really big brawl, what do you do? Are there certain parts of the map where there are bigger armies than other places? Or do you simply go to the lokal Tavern, load yourselves up with mercenaries and head towards some random territory belonging to whatever faction you're against? Or do you turn on Truesight and look around the map in general? Or something else? Any tips?

travel up towards tulga and reyvadin you'll find armies of 100 khergits and dark hunters

by thir and saragoth there's a band of 100 sea raiders. by dhorak keep there's an army of 100 brigands

allthesedamnamesaretaken is talking about the Mag7 mod. Pay no attention to him.

The really large armies, the war parties can be anywhere, because they spawn from towns. If you're low level, all original war parties should still be hanging around. The best place to look is generally between the borders of vaegir and swadia, so look by the river near rivacheg, and around the 4 ways inn.

You can only go up to level 50, and at that point the average army sizes are between 70-110ish (though I've heard mentions of 200+ armies, which I've yet to see).

However, all characters seem to reach this threshold in their 20s-30s at which point they're able to solo all manners and sizes of armies with ease. It's a kind of a positive mid-life crisis, and past those levels fights just get tedious. I usually make new characters at that point.

Will the group sizes keep increasing indefinately as your level increases?
No, every type of party has its own cap. River pirates for instance never really exceed 30 in a group. Forest and mountain bandits never exceed 60. Not sure what the cap is for other groups though. I have seen a group here or there that exceeds this max by a unit or two, but either they captured it or its a fluke and not enough to matter.

i've seen a dark hunter party of 85. and u know what i ran like hell later i found the same party but with 105 people in it cause they rescued some prizoners
.

Check out the unofficial editor. The parties tab allows you to see maximum number of each unit type in a particular party.

Mag 7 Mod is great fun. All your major enemies are now far more powerful and have caps around 120 or so. Soloing a dark knight army is quite an interesting experience.

Well, it's a challenge. If you really want to, solo them without any armor and on foot with a low damage weapon.
