What do they do?

There are a lot of places which seem to be useless. There is a necromancer's lair, a sacrifice ground, a military camp, separra (behind the salt mine), some keeps...
Maybe an updated version will add new features to this places.

Baron Rolf looks pretty tough, I wouldn't sell that Baron short just yet. He looks like an old school noble like Baron Von Richthoeven AKA the Red Baron. Or John Belushi.

separra is behind the salt mine? there is a mountain but that is it. Or is it called mount separra?

Separra was swallowed by the necromancer, John Belushi. Since they took magic out, he is no longer in Caladria, and has been replaced by an entire alien fleet that was accidentally swallowed by a small dog and shat into Caladria. The slave trader at the salt mine? Actually a robot.
</sarcasm>

The locations are not on the world map, but are in the source code etc. Modeled but not implemented.

It is behind the mountain behind the salt mine. Right by the edge of the map. And truesight rulz :cool:

True sight slows down your comp tho.

Besides, with spotting of 5-6, you don't need true sight to see everything that matters.

It can be good for occasionally spotting a group of enemy raiders who don't seem to want to return to their camp.

Truesight would certainly be handy for those times when the Count has asked me to find the raiding party that attacked a village near a far-away city before they can reach their hideout in a different far-away city, only to cross back and forth between them several times before finally discovering that the raiding party had been chased in a totally different direction by an allied war party, and is busy fighting them in another corner of the map.

Not that I couldn't just go ahead and use truesight, since I've left the cheats flag turned on for my non-primary characters... but I'm not a cheater.
