This is a serious question that people who have paid real money for this “game” needs to know about. Why doesn’t he hire some more devs to work on Bannerlord?

A possible answer is that they are trying and failing to attract talent with needed skills. Look at their job ads - some of them are there for a year.
The other explanation is that they have enough devs to release BL in 2022 and they are okay with this.
Or maybe they have moved their best devs to their space game already, so BL got slowed down and dumbed down.

Hiring expensive devs for world-competitive salaries doesn't buy you yachts, so there's that too.
