what determines the size of your force and your enemies force in a battle?

seems like if the enemy has 1k troops and i have 70, they'll get 100 and i'll get 7, anyway to change this?

It has always been like that. I don´t recall any mod changing that so it might be hard coded. IMHO it´s bull****, because when it´s you on the other side the AI always get to deploy a healthy percentage of its troops.

i always thought in native if you set the cap to 100 it would be 50 v 50

Battlesize only determines the maximum amount of troops that can be at the same time on the same battlefield, not the ratio.
