What are you Waiting for Before you Jump Back in for Another Playthrough?

I would like to be an absolute monarch. Currently a player king is more like a chief executive. I want to be able to veto any and all decisions made by the feckless lords in my Kingdom.

I amy willing to use mods to make this happen.

I think (and hope) you'll be able to do that once the civil wars gets implemented and kingdom policies system is finished.

I'm pretty sure that perk has worked in base game based on posts I've seen made by other users. Haven't used it myself though, and haven't seen it talked about lately (other than complaints about the valuation of fiefs in recent updates).
well then, so I've done something possible in vanilla. Gotta say it's boring, and the logic on fief "prices" is absurd. 2.5 million for a town won't pay itself ever, because the money you can get from a town before you "finish" the game can't ever reach that amount.

Playing warband with POP right now. I started bannerlord but couldn't continue when i realised my perks weren't working. That was some patches
ago. Perks working would make the game playable for me (i would try at least). Cause it would make me care for my character, i guess .
Perks and stats working. I see the game as expanding from ego outward. I shape my character and with his abilities i shape the game world.

Would really like the game to have some immersion and play style variety. There should be multiple roads you can take to achieve what you want and immersive quest and mechanics intertwined to support player agency aka A SANDBOX. This game is a one trick pony with absolutely nothing but boring, tunneled and repetitive play, void of all immersion - and there is no evidence they plan on changing this.

I honestly don't have any hope Bannerlord will ever be more than a medieval combat/battle sim and look forward to CKIII in September.

OOOOH CK3! HAVE YOU SEEN THE TRAILERS AND IMAGES? Although it won't compare to taking part in battles in person or living in a completely fictional setting, IT HAS A CUMAN FACTION! After seeing how unimpressive and plain boring the Khuzait armour looks I needed a game other than 1212 Medieval Kingdoms to satisfy my hunger for some authentic Turkic armour. No idea what I'm rambling on about but I just hope TW takes some inspiration from games that did what M&B was missing. From a couple screenshots on steam it looks like CK3 has more unit variation than Bannerlord pahahah. Truly a shame that even historical fiction does characterization and personification better than the fictional setting of M&B. It still has the cartoonish faces of Bannerlord, though..

I can live with a lack of features and some crashes/bugs, but the AI in both sieges and open-fields are unforgivably stupid. I have Tier 5's walking right past enemies on some weird path to the front gate, commander AI bugging out and constantly moving trying to get in a circle formation around archers, I saw 200+ battanian archers unable to shoot beyond a hill because the kept trying to skirmish etc That's the meat and bones of the game for me, so until the AI is fixed I probably won't be wasting more time on a play through

Tbh I thoughy some more and i'll probably wait until full release. If the Devs are taking the direction I think they're taking, I'd prefer to wait until I can mod in peace, knowing that the next update isn't going to break things after I tuned everything to be just right.
Also: playing with updates disabled isn't really an option for me either because I don't want to burn myself out on bannerlord even before the Devs got around to finishing it.

For the devs to fix the RIPLIB problems in game. Why exactly does the Vanguard Faris get worse armour than Veteran Faris? Why did the Khan's Guard become too lazy to carry a second quiver of arrows?

Then again, some other stuff makes just as little sense. Such as Palatine Guards only having one quiver while Marksmen have two. Legionaires do not throw Pila. Mameluke Heavy Cavalry have noble bows, while a cursory glance of some other tier five archers shows that most use 30 skill bows.

Might try to fix some of this myself, though mod tools would be appreciated for that.

Waiting for fixed snowballing and the new RPG mechanics to be fleshed out. I would really like to feast again and actually be able to do things with the land I own.

how?
I really don't wanna mess around with coding yet, btw. Is there an easy interface like the old brf editor or troop editor for warband?

You can easily edit one of the xml files I forgot wich one it was, but I used to edit some Sturgian units I think it's something with Characters but I'm not sure anymore

Only a minor cosmetic issue, but I really hate it when your troops switch to their sidearm and suddenly you have 200 polearms swinging around on their backs. Not sure if there is a mod for it, but it bugs me for some reason.

I can't, I'm lost in my latest find: Field of Glory Empires. Can't even look at any other game right now.

What am I waiting for? 2 things. First, for the staff of Taleworlds to be less incompetent (in general). So many stupid mistakes in so many areas of planning and execution. A look at this thread and at modding websites shows that some of these are very simple and easy to fix. Others are more complex, like planning and their joke of a roadmap. Spare me the "it's early access" cult speech, i'm fully aware of their position on this. i hope that the new folk they hire are less lazy (congrats for those that are doing their job well) and the managers learn to be more organized.

2nd, which ties into this: for the mid-late game not to be as bad as torture. as your faction gets more powerful, the reason to play vanishes. it was bad in warband, but at least it was aware of that and gave you the retire button. i don't know what can be done about this, but other paradox games use late-game crisis to make them engaging. even warband mods used this well. it's an idea. as ridiculous as it is, i can only place my hope in the modding community for this to be fixed.

otherwise i'm thankful that the game exists, 10/10 GOTY.

Editing xml files is not exactly intuitive for me. I know it's not rocket science, I guess I just would need to find lists of name codes for equipable itens and then change them at the troop stats at that character file. I did do this for a short time in warband. It does feel like futile work though, considering modding tools will be avaible sometime betwen now and the release (which I'm guessing is sort of "soon"). That is probably the reason no one bothered making a troop editor yet.

I mean... is it releasing soon? I don't know how to use that word concearning this game anymore. By it's very definition an early acess game is a soon to be full realeased game, right?
Man, I have a feeling this post of mine is going to look extremelly naive in the future. Maybe it already does.
