Single best feature?

I got caught sneaking and had a pistol and a sabre instead of a bunch of daggers and a stick. After a fairly intense shootout against five guards -- wallhugging, sneaking between buildings, dodging behind em for a kill shot -- I won the day.

The last guard faced me on an open road with a musket where I had no cover. I got him by being quicker to the shot, but only just barely. And he was far enough away that the shot was a good part luck -- if I hadn't focused on training up my firearm skill, I'd have been in serious ****. I could hear the bullet whizzing by my head as he dropped.

It felt badass, and it was waaaaaay more fun than being caught in WB.

Rage less?

Be less idiotic?

maybe your statements could make some sense if you put any thought behind them.

Maybe it you had intelligent statements for me to respond to....

I love how you point out the only difference is that M&B isn't turn base, even though time stands still if your character isn't moving, and you can't click on units ya; now whether thats a differentiation, downgrade, or upgrade is your call but i'd say its a downgrade...

Maybe your statements would make sense if you put any thought behind them.

Seriously what if wrong with all you people.  What similarity does it have with empire besides having a map?

What a big difference(sarcasm in-case your slow).

So t-h-a-t-s m-y p-r-o-b-l-e-m w-i-t-h y-o-u.  I n-e-e-d t-o s-a-y i-t s-l-o-w s-o y-o-u c-a-n g-e-t i-t.

As i've said before rambo character & empire building was the only thing Mount & Blade had going for it as far as differentiating itself & in WFAS they are gone,

Maybe you could actually Rambo if you didn't charge crossbowman, musketmen, archers etc. head on.  Rambo if you noticed never did that.  So why are you complaining you can't rambo it?

you could rambo if you play the game on easy with player taking 1/2 or 1/4 the dmg but i simply refuse to do that. Regardless of how you nitpick the minor differences between WFAS & Total War the games are very similar

HOW!? YOU NEVER MENTIONED HOW!

but as i've stated earlier TW is superior in every category..

Duh because they are totally different games so of course it will be superior in all those ways you never mentioned.

Not to mention Rome TW had much better graphics

Then apparently you never played RTW.

& much more in-dept control over what this offers which is to hold this position & spread out while you cower & hide...

Maybe

73 difficulty may allow you to play in melee but if you were to increase the difficulty to 93% w. player taking full damage

You are officially on the idiot list.  Check out your difficulty and set damage to normal.  It will bring it to 65 or the like and 73 is both.

a stray musket ball will kill you no matter how much expensive wardrobe your wearing.

Have you even tested this?  I have and was saved by low level armor at full damage.

I can't wait till you idiots finish your "THIS ISN'T LIKE WARBAND AND THEREFORE IT'S BAD" crap.  Ironically the same was said of warband when it first came out.  By idiots who are now gone.  When people like you leave we will be able to enjoy this game and forum in peace!

Three things mainly:

1. Epic Moments - eg I seiged a castle today and as the battle started and my men charged the wall a ripple of gunfire erupted from the defenders and I could hear bullets whizzing and zipping past my ear, and my soldiers were dying in waves as we charged for the wall. Arrows were kinda cool in Warband, but the rush of knowing that any moment a musket ball could tear into me and do me serious damage was really exciting. Also cavalry charges into musket lines either when you are the cavalry or the musket line is brilliant. The gunfire ripping into the charge - horses and men flying in all directions as they are torn to shreds by the fire. The cavalry charge making impact and the frantic, brutal close combat that follows. Brilliant.

2. Multiplayer moments so funny it makes you cry. At least it did for me. Several times I have had to hide somewhere and take a quick breather because I was crying with laughter. For example, this one moron on my team was in a room with 3 (wounded, I assume) team-mates and tried to throw a grenade out the door at an enemy but it hit the doorframe and blew everyone in the room apart. Guy basically just pwnt himself and his 3 team-mates.  Luckily I was halfway up the stairs leading from that room to the floor above so I took only minor damage. Another time I saw two guys run at each other with pistols and just as they were about to collide they both fired at the same time and killed one another. It was so comical. Some less funny but quite cool moments include you being a musketman on low health and seeing an enemy knight come charging at you and you know you're screwed but a team-mate headshots him and he falls off his horse, or falls down if it is infantry and you feel so relieved and love that teammate!! Happened to me twice :3 Adrenaline ftw.

3. The price. I have spent more than I paid for this game on a pizza and so far I have played 22 hours of WFAS. Not bad for £8.99

So the game developers are kind enough to add a feature that allows you to go all Rambo and you refuse to use it?? What a child you are!

Actually you don't even have to lower the difficulty at all. It's perfectly simple to still Rambo. I don't sit on a hill somewhere in my battles, I'm right there in the thick of it. Charging with my horse between enemy muskets, shooting them with my pistol, then grabbing my other pistol and then my sword. I've fought numerous battles like that and I rarerly, very rarely get shot. Even then my heavy armor is enough to stop me from getting killed. Then I just retreat to a safe area. It's much more exiting to charge into enemy ranks on my horse if there's a great threat of getting killed. I'd say it's even more fun than Warband. As long as you don't run directly at them but charge at an angle you should be able to dodge most bullets. I've lead a cavalry charge at a group of 160 enemy soldiers all lined up and I came out that battle unscathed. I'm guessing it's not that this game is hard, It's that you just suck.

I read this and it made me think of the other night when I was screwing around in a duel.  I was hurt, I pretty much knew I was dead, so I said to hell with tactic and decided to make a last ditch effort.  My opponent and I both had pistols, he missed his first shot and ducked behind a horse to reload.  I snatch up my pistol, run towards the horse, leap into the air, over the horse, and shoot him in the face on the way down.  Personally I was expecting to just miss completely or kill the horse, and I couldn't stop laughing at what had just happened.

Yeah, stuff like that just makes the game ^^

I personally like going into enemy towns just to be caught and kill the guards in dramatic fashion. At full difficulty I had killed them in thirty second due to my skills...

(I had practiced for a week in full invasion for this mod)
