True. That's the reason why the original knife (Adaham's Dagger™) was one-use only. Weapons work when they are scarce, then they help jump-starting discussion.
 
Making people roleplay their parts would be nice as well.


Also---
Utilizing a map would have also benefited the game insofar as  you could have limited both when and how others interacted with one another; even in their private messages. If you wanted  to plot with other members or talk to them you have to be in the same room.  If you want to have a secret convo with someone and there are 3 other people in the room they have a chance to overhear you etc.  Could have made it that people could lie in wait in a room for others. Another option with a map is that as others cased the joint they'd actually move through the rooms and have a chance to walk into ambushes or other players in general. A map would have also added to the players skiils. For instance LLandy's character type could have had the ability to use her feminine wiles to entice susceptible players into other rooms for alone time. She could then manipulate,  charm, try to murder, or just privately talk to them.

Days should be set times, but not real-world days. Corndawg had the time to kill everyone since he could basically do action after action since he and Moss were in the thread for the same hour or two period. One action a day, with time enough for everyone to cycle through the thread and see what's going on.
 
A cool-down on each action would prevent that. For example, Case the Joint had a cooldown, and so did killing with one weapon. But three weapons? Kill three times with different weapons in quick succession and you don't have to worry about the cooldown. Having the cooldown on the killing instead of the weapon would have solved that.
 
Yes, that's true. And that's kinda how I figured out that it was either you or Adaham that targeted me (and ended up killing Whoopin) -- because I had specified only a couple of hours earlier that I wanted Whoopin to be my meatshield, and if somebody had requested me to be killed before that point, Whoopin would not have taken the hit; I would have died. And once I'd narrowed it down to two players it was much easier to figure out which one targeted me and which one killed Xardob :razz:
 
I wasn't afraid of anyone's weapons at that point, I figured the people who were lurking had some sort of abilities or starting items hence I didn't want to make myself a target. If I could have killed one more person I would have tried to get someone lynched with you and Whoopin and then shoot anyone else alive. :razz:
 
Well, it was a good plan, I personally had planned to ask you to either shoot Adaham the next day, or give Whoopin your gun (or sabre) to defend himself, and at that stage I would be been ready to join forces to survive.

Unfortunately, my well-laid plans got shot, stabbed and poisoned by the Zerg King :sad:
 
I don't think you didn't play properly; you played in a way allowed by the rules. That the rules were unbalanced wasn't caused by you, you just used a situation to your advantage when you were in a favourable position, which is totally understandable.
 
It's not much different than how eternal or mag got multiple phasers and an innate kill ability + a kill from being wolf. (Whoopins game)
