I tried, but it told me that I talked too much and banished me back here Plus I figure the last thing you guys deserve at this moment in time is one more inactive player, regardless of how angry, hurt and upset I am over other situations. All I ask is that if I seem to be unjustly taking my anger out on you guys, you give me a swift kick and tell me to cut it out since I have not yet found the 'off' switch for that.
(For comparison, Gendergate pissed me off about 5% of how pissed off I am right now)
Anyway, I've had this thread on email notify so I've been able to vaguely follow along by reading plain unformatted text, so I'll just grab a cold drink and something quick to eat for my dinner and then review the thread and post my thoughts.
Kinda disappointed that we still have no Wall of Laments.
Why do you think Pizza made it impossible to lynch Melter? And I don't mean, what do you think was his motive for it. But rather, why are you under the impression that the reason you perceived Melter to be unlynchable was because of Pizza declaring him innocent and a no-go for lynching, ever ever ever? It's not as if Pizza had control over the other players; if Melter had been playing more like he played at the end of the day (presumably under the influence of alcohol and/or Whoopin) then and six people thought he was scummy (or hell, only 4 thought he was scummy and 2 preferred to lynch an uncertain suspect than see a no-lynch) then it could have happened regardless of Pizza.
Adaham 说:
Oh yes, that's not nice. I hope she never mistook any request of mine for brevity in a personal way. I do appreciate her effort a lot.
I think you're confusing Magorian with Melter. IIRC, Magorian had a top 3 he would lynch (Pizza, Eli, Soot) and pretty much stayed within those top three, only changing a little between Eli and Soot as his second/third preference.
Curious though, you seem very sure about Xardob being innocent. What has prompted your verbal certainty? And do you think Xardob is 'most innocent' player, or is he just comparatively innocent in relation to others?
Xardob 说:
Vote Vieira
My last few hunches were good, so let's test another one.
When this came through on my email I thought your vote on Vieira was odd, however his self-voting is even odder. The timing of it I could actually see a furry Xardob advising a furry Vieira to do. "Hey, when I vote for you on a 'hunch', if somebody else votes for you too, self-vote to kill any other suspicion because self-voting is what innocents do."
On the other hand, I'm not quite certain if even a Wolfdob would go so low as to actively encourage players to vote for themselves... and creating votes on a player only to try to negate them through a potentially suspicious act is kind of self-defeating. But it was the second thought that rolled through my head when I saw Vieira's self-vote.
Vieira 说:
As I mentioned in discussion with Face, I would wager there is likely to be one wolf off and one wolf on the wagon.
I'm going with Hawk. A few days ago I threw an accusation at him which was met with a resounding silence. The same silence I encountered when I asked for his touted LoS entries on Pizza and Adaham, following his SootFence accusation. I haven't played very much with Hawk, but I've always liked his level of input, and this uncharacteristic silence is just touching me in all the wrong places.
That would leave a wolf in this list Sootshader, Llandy, Xardob, Frisiandude, Magorian
Whilst I do have some problems with aspects of Magorian's play, he's also been quite on form. The issues I have are mostly logical thinky problems with some of the things he's done/said, which might be a result of me overthinking about him, with little emotional gutty problems. But would you care to see if we're right about Soot?
Also, late in Day 1 you said you would vote for Eli if Melter, Magorian and I switched our votes to him; and only after we did that. So, why us three? And why would you only vote for him after we moved our votes?
My first thought was it was a sarcastic response to you and Adaham voting for him without stating any reasons; the sarcasm was in his "they make a compelling case" and the vote was a natural progression of that.
Second thought I briefly mentioned above, that the timing of your vote, then Adaham's, followed by Vieira's selfie, and now you asking for thoughts about it, has a staged feel to it. But like I also said above, other than information-gathering (and possibly throwing everybody off) I'm not sure what the point of this would be.
Third thought was similar I think to Adaham's suggestion of it "working for him." In that his self-vote certainly got you to drop your vote pretty damn quick. Maybe Vieira was testing your resolve, but given that it should be fairly well known by now that everybody who has ever self-voted has been an innocent. I can see a wolf taking advantage of that, but the feeling for it is all wrong in Vieira's case.
I don't think Vieira's self-vote was serious. I think if somebody else had added their vote, Vieira would have removed his selfie pretty damn quick. And it's certainly antithetical to most of the other self-votes here, which have been largely borne of frustration.
I've tried to put myself in Vieira's position and think about it from both sides. Would I ever self-vote? I don't know. I like to think that I wouldn't ever self vote as an innocent. If things got so bad that I felt I couldn't continue, I would ask to be replaced rather than kill myself off. So I think if I ever self-voted, I would be a wolf trying to exploit the fact that only innocents have self-voted so far. And especially if I appear to be seriously self-voting (ie, the intent to die is seemingly present) yet I do not appear to be frustrated. If that happened I should be lynched immediately because I am probably a wolf.
But like I said, it's hard to tell how serious Vieira is about his selfie. I wished you'd left your vote on then I could have added to it, to see how serious Vieira was and what his response would have been to gathering another vote. But that ship's kinda sailed.
Gendergate was a blip on the radar. This is a stealth bomber appearing out of ****ing nowhere and bombing the entire radar tower before it even has chance to register
I probably could have replied to a few other bits and pieces but nothing seems overly urgent that it can't wait until tomorrow.
I, for one, would. Not only your partnership amused me during that game, it also spawned the best thread in existence. by the way, we seem to have broken the 2000 post mark with little fanfare. Seems like an oversight to me.

Let me answer this for him. He said you three because you were the ones who had expressed some intention in moving their votes. And he would be the last to move his vote to ensure that he was lynching his packmate because there really was no other option.
Kinda disappointed that we still have no Wall of Laments.

I apologise. I should have included it. Doesn't really help me narrow down the list when I include myself in the running for being a wolf though, right?

No other option? If I were a packmate of his, I could have placed my vote on him at any other point and be under much less suspicion than I am now, since it was clear that Kronic was the only one with much of a chance of being lynched, unless something radically changed near the end. The chances were very, very slim unless someone, myself included, attempted to change it up at the end. And nobody did. I don't think it makes much sense that I wouldn't put a vote on Kronic, or anyone else, in the hope of something changing during the time I was not voting - if I were a wolf.
Did you also vote Kronic because there was no other option?

Ugh, how on earth did I miss that? 2000 posts is a milestone. I would have a celebratory drink but I'm quitting alcohol for a while. I'll have a celebratory bagel when I get to work.

The thing is, the three of us you mentioned (me, Melter, Mags) were willing to vote Eli because he was not only a compromise for all of us, but we also thought he was rather suspicious. By your own admission, you thought Eli was innocent. Fortunately you were wrong, but the way you were trying to follow the three of us into voting didn't sit right with me yesterday and I suspect was the reason Melter was toying with you to see if you would vote Eli without him in case Eli turned up innocent. Now it's sitting with me the wrong way because it feels almost like an "I dare you three to vote him, and then I will too" reverse psychology sort of way to discourage us from voting him at all. Especially since you had preferred targets.
And if you yourself thought other people (eg, Soot) were more suspicious, why didn't you try to help me push more for him?
??? You posted as recently as 1 page ago and since then nothing huge has happened? This sounds like you're trying to fill a role more than just trying to play the game...
Sorry gentlemen and llandy, I had to do some voice acting with a deadline for yesterday, I had to take care of. Besides that, I have an attention span of a hamster. =p
The wall is coming, I was almost done with the image when I left for work.
I had spoken to hawk during the night and he said he would be more active. I'll send him another prod and otherwise replace him.
Lastly I will be away from 11th of july till the 18th. I should have reception with phone though. But you never know with these forests =p
