I don't want to hear any **** for using game theory here...

Somewhat ironic, given your rather dismissive 'Llandy was just mainly talking about some game theory' post earlier in the day.

Guess the shoe fits a little differently on the other foot, huh?

After a while, it seems that he started to really be concerned about Kronic, wanting to hear everyone's reads on him. This, just like his last interaction with Kronic, seems like testing the waters and seeing if a lynch might happen there, and the amount of concern about it maybe indicating a pack connection, especially as he mentioned it and yet made no sign of deeming Kronic scummy. Feels like he was watching if he'd have to turn around and get points with the village for lynching his packie, or if he could still keep the focus elsewhere.
Referring to Pizza here:

I want to finally get a lean, any lean, on Eli before I agree with that lynch. I am concerned, he's the last neutral on my list. I am really really struggling to read Eli and I think a different approach would help me immensely.

Would people consider dropping a "villager" or "wolf" read on Eli, no elaboration necessary, just a quick off the cuff read?

If I can't read Eli directly I can always read Eli indirectly by measuring the temperature of the thread. Sort of like how I read afk people or low-posters. Indirect read time.

Eli is a wolf, yea, nay? @ literally everyone including Phone and Vieira (maybe even especially so).
Askthepizzaguy 说:
I'll follow my own rules and say nay.

If I can allow an elaboration: Elaboration is that the nay could very, very quickly be a yea. And I agree with the reasons behind the yeas.

I'm just going out on a limb, not just to be contrarian- But I think Eli temporarily forgot how to be a vanilla villager.

And so, let's not lynch and let Eli draw that murder. And hey, if he doesn't, and he's not a nilla wafer, then more power to me.

An even greater issue I have with his handling Kronic is the fact that he's very clearly aware of the fact that no one is going after Kronic despite the amount of people suspecting him, as this post makes evident:

Vieira 说:
Up to this current point in the thread? I'm struggling to really to get a read that puts him that much to any side, but I'm leaning furry.

Mmm.

Everyone who responded that I can recall read Eli wolf. Eli did not gain votes. Eli has done nothing villagery in the interim. I read him villager and he thinks I'm a wolf.

I don't see much in the way of wolf-hunting.

I am considering dropping my vote there. Still reading.

While I felt like his later ramble about his masterplan felt like a genuine stream of thought at the time after just reading through his play, I am now unable to overlook the fact that he somehow got the impression that Kronic is a special instead of him being a wolf from this. I don't understand the reasoning for that specific thing, and I certainly don't agree with the assessment.

FrisianDude 说:
I don't think ELisianthus is a wolf.
I can't with honesty say that I found Frisian's stance on Kronic at the time was scummy, quite the opposite in fact considering how clear it was and how he gave it very much unprompted. His vote on me made me consider the possibility of him and Kronic being packies as I remembered his stance, but after further consideration I think I'll stick to my original interpretation.

I'm okay with that. But I prefer Pizza (and even Kronic), and I'll continue to push for it until my vote is considered necessary to avoid a no lynch.

@Magorian & Vieira

I can't stay up much longer, I've got work tomorrow and bed is calling. I think it might be time to talk compromise.

Vieira, you would prefer to see Mag or Pizza voted before Eli, but I'm not willing to vote Mag or Pizza.

Mag, you would prefer Pizza before Soot, but I don't think that is going to happen either. And we would both rather see Eli replaced.

The options as I see them; Mag, you could change your vote to Soot, and then we can hope that either Hawk or Pizzaguy come online and also vote for him, or that Xardob switches his vote the next time he checks in.

Alternatively, all three of us could switch to Eli. I know he's not first priority for any of us, but there is the added concern that MaHuD may not actually be able to find a replacement, and we have to deal with a lurky/dropped out player in Day 2. And if Hawk continues to be absent, MaHuD might have to try finding another replacement as well. Lynching Eli removes that risk.

I still would prefer to lynch Soot. If this doesn't feel like the right time to compromise, then I can try to check back in the morning before I go to work, however if there are a lot of new posts whilst I'm asleep it might take me too long to catch up and there are no guarantees I'll be able to get a post out before I leave.

What are your thoughts?

Why are you okay with that? I thought you were only interested in Soot if a compromise was necessary?

The compromise for me is that if my vote is necessary to avoid a no lynch, both Soot and Kronic are viable lynches for me. But as long as I have time, I'll push for the player I want to see hang first. Hawk's vote is parked there and Phone will switch back if the wagon looks feasible. That means that if Vieira gets on board we only need Soot and Xardob to see that the lynch is the best choice.

Did you... did you even read that post?

Your response is bit ambiguous as to whether you think Soot is more innocent or not - saying you are okay with his situation and that you would prefer Pizza to get lynched (duh) doesn't tell me that.

My posts in response to Llandy about Soot tell you that, mixed with the fact that I'll only vote for him if that's necessary to avoid a no lynch. Ie, necessary to compromise.

I don't find him nearly as suspicious as others, but some points of Llandy's latest analysis made some sense. He's not a priority for me, but there's enough there to roll the dice. He's not someone I'll refuse to lynch like Frisian or Xardob.

If I voted for Soot right now, making it difficult to lynch either Kronic or Pizza, would you join in and place the final vote?

I was never really much of a cool kid.

What's Pizzazz on right now?

Magorian Aximand 说:
Tell you what, you vote for pizza and I won't go out of my way to make sure you die for the next five games.

It's a good thing you added "for the next five games" on the end there, yeah?  :iamamoron:

If both you, Magorian and Facemelter put your votes there, consider it done.
