Yeah, I figured that was really dangerous at that point. I think stopping her from backpedaling on me by lumping her in with Adaham was my best play this game, even if it ended up getting me killed.

Absolutely. I was all ready to follow Llandy onto you end of Day One and start of Day Two and then her desire to kill you dropped off the face of the earth. That's not good.

Your arguments showed her to be even wolfier than that, though I must admit she had a hand in that herself.

Bussing is really effective in a small game. I wasn't going to follow you, because you were objectively wolfy, so I wanted you to follow me. When you did not and went off onto Adaham and then I picked at Adaham more the next day and then his reaction, I decided he was finally good to be clear.

I wasn't clearing Adaham under anything less than extreme circumstances because I respect his game too much, he understands too much about villaging alone, that he absolutely has to be a scary ass wolf.

So it was vote analysis plus his tone under the continued tunnel into the next day, he kinda snapped at me and it felt much more genuine than the previous times he did.

Nailing that detective was pretty easy, I'm glad you did because if the detective had peeked at Llandy all her beautiful work this game would have been ruined.

I really hate detective roles. You can demonstrate such skill without them, but none of it matters if the game host modconfirms you as guilty, so they take something away from the game.

It stopped a bad Xardob lynch and that was fair enough.

Unfortunate that he was such an obvious detective, though.

If I can find the cop before the wolves do, gotta up your cop game.

Still <3 U Frisian, my great Moustache man.

TBH I think I would have done that even if innocent, there's only so much time I'm willing to spend banging my head against a brick wall pushing cases that aren't going anywhere (even cases against packmates I'm committed to lynching) but luckily Soot gave me the impetus (and material) for a new and additional case

Sorry if I rubbed you or anyone else this game the wrong way.

I'm self-aware. I would be a complete and total ass to play with if I wasn't aware of how I come off sometimes.

You guys may or may not ever get used to my style of play and I respect that, and I don't want to intrude on your forum and disrupt games the way I typically do if it's not welcome.

I really just wanted a chance to push Adaham again and see if I couldn't read his alignment correctly.

It took a long ass time since the circumstances of clearing him were much different this time. But it was the only way I could be confident.

Seems innocent, but under zero pressure.... then a bit too buddy buddy with you. Needed examination.

The only thing that annoyed me was your accusing me of hiding behind migraines as an excuse not to tell you to go ahead and vote Soot. Your play style actually grew on me as the days progressed and I wouldn't have any objections at all to playing with you again; new players bring a breath of fresh air.

As long as you understand that I'm not going to stay up posting past my bedtime and trigger migraines just to win at a forum game -- no matter my alignment

I still contend hypocrisy is null at best and is typically tossed around as an accusation by wolves, or villagers who can't tell it's almost always null.

I think you misread what I was saying about you- it wasn't that one post on that one day, it had been several RL days since the round had begun.

I accept RL explanations for behaviors but they still need to be poked at if they seem fabricated, and as this game serves as a shining example, they are still null, so they aren't a defense.

I felt you were using it as a defense. If not, I apologize. But it wasn't a defense or even an explanation I considered valid due to the above.

I also note that wolves are not above playing the sympathy card to relieve themselves of pressure, so when you said I was low, I wasn't going to let that scare me away.

Sorry, I truly am, if you're suffering in any way IRL, but in the context of the game itself, I cannot be guilted off of someone in that manner.

That's REALLY difficult for me because despite this online persona, the utter opposite of who I am in real life, that kind of stuff is VERY effective in persuading real life me to cut you some slack.

It's only years of experience playing the game that tells me to steel myself and accept the emotional consequences of looking like an ******* for five minutes for pushing someone with a migraine or an excuse that seems invalid.

It's just not part of the game so it shouldn't push me off of a suspect, that's the long and the short of it.

Hope that's okay.

Truly I did not like having to insist on people or push their buttons, but I feel you guys are all deeply experienced players and can handle me.

It's all part of the game, sometimes people will affect you emotionally. I'd like it if the game were a purely intellectual exercise but wolves and villagers alike appeal to emotion and other things which are not strictly game material. Sad but true!

I understand what you were saying, but the thing is, whether innocent or wolf, I'm not going to openly encourage people to buddy up with me or tell them how to vote, and I'm not going to be cajoled into voting until I'm good and ready. But you've never played with me before so you didn't know that.

It's just unfortunate that you picked the example of me not telling you, at 2.30am, to vote Soot.

This is very true, I don't know you guys.

I made the effort during my time here to get a feel for how people are. This game I pushed a lot of people, even moreso systematically than I typically do.

In most games I play, I have some experience with the person.

I can't effectively read an all-new player set without subjecting them to various pressures, questions, and situations. It was my hope that I could use questioning and vote count situations to provoke reactions from every player, which would help me read them so I could feel confident in leaning one way or the other on them.

If you have a player who is under no pressure and/or is posting just a few times per phase, and I've never played with them before, that presents an almost rand read situation.

The only way to improve one's read over random is to feel like you know what they'd do in each situation if they're scum or villager, and how you make that determination with zero experience with them and they're not really posting, that's... beyond difficult.

It can be really frustrating especially if players drop off. All my sympathies in the world for losing Eli d1 under those circumstances. A more active wolf might have allowed your team to clean sweep us, but RL takes precedence over the game.

I feel like this game was a poor example of my play and your forum for those reasons- too many players subbing or dropping off, and I also only knew Adaham and that's for values of "knowing Adaham" which means 1 whole game.

But, we make excuses. My play this game was okay on a theory level and demonstrated an understanding of the fundamentals but the bottom line is, if I accuse too many villagers they won't forgive me and move on. If I can't convince people Llandy is a wolf then she won't be the lynch.

To feel confident reading someone you don't know in a game where people are generally experienced bull****ters is the hardest challenge in mafia.

I hope that helps folks understand why I struggled here.

@ Pizza
I quite liked what you posted, I could follow the train  thought for the most part, even if it wasn't always true in this case. The only thing I personally liked less was your sheer activity compared to other players. But I think in the past we were all more active also, so that might not be a bad thing per say.
I think I could probably debate with you about psychological game-choices and such quite long :p
I seemingly forgot to say this;
Thanks for patience and playing everyone!

I agree with MaHuD, I liked your style (a slightly more concise version would have been ideal) and thought you played well and with good effort even when you lost credibility after pushing a wolf's agenda. But we did put the entire village in a bad situation; nobody could have been right. No matter which side they picked, they were backing a wolf. Difference between me and Soot was that he was slightly more fed up/apathetic about playing a wolf again, and I had a little more energy for posting, so I had fewer qualms about pushing for him.

It is a shame we had so many subs, we don't normally get that many in a single game

Comes with the package. To purchase the Pizzamobile you must understand the engine is very reliable and runs perfectly even after 300,000 miles, has been maintained very well.

But the A/C is busted and that's just how it's being sold. Tried to fix it, can't.

I promised some brevity to fit into your forum and Pizza couldn't deliver on that promise.

I have bipolar disorder, that's my real life excuse for how I behave.

If you have fun playing with me and also appreciate the pot stirring, and want someone who will talk to you in real time, I'm your guy.

I also will examine you and re-examine you from both perspectives so I don't tunnel you all game.

Unfortunately, I have periods of heavy activity, even more rapid talking, and confidence above baseline, purely because of the symptoms of bipolar disorder.

It's the busted part of the Pizzamobile. It's never going to get any better. Folks either have to learn to like it or, they've got to respectfully decline to play with me.

I'm self-aware, that's probably why I do have a lot of folks that can get over my rough parts and deal with the rest of me in an entertaining way. I know how insufferable I would truly be if I was not aware that I was bipolar.

Essentially, for a period of several hours, you feel invulnerable and think a lot faster than you typically do. It's an illusion, a lot like depression, except in the opposite direction. It's the source of almost limitless energy... for a few hours. Then I also have depression most of the time, which is an illusion that makes you feel defeated. And then I can't do crap.

So if you're wondering if this guy is mentally ill or something, you're technically correct. I am, on a level of not being able to keep my baseline in check and I have limited impulse control.

Not an excuse, merely an explanation. Much like Llandy's migraines. If I could fix that aspect of me I'd do it in a hot second.

So anyway, that was me. I'll probably take a break from here, contact me if you're having trouble filling a game and you've got some people from this game in it that do want to play with me again. Warn people outright if you invite me to the game, so they know what they're in for, plz.

I have some other projects I've been neglecting. Nice meeting you all.

I don't really understand what you are saying but don't worry I don't think anyone dislikes you or wouldnt want to play with you.

Two new posts.

Good luck with your other projects, see you around!

Take care, Adaham. Don't stop spewing awesomeness.
Yo, Pizza. Been a pleasure playing with you again. Sometimes you're a bit too fast for us to follow (especially when we're short on time), but other than that, you're an awesome addition to the game. Hope to play with you again in the nearby future, after the break, that is...

I'd like to see Pizza play another game now that he has some meta knowledge about us.

There is, but as MaHuD is the host I will wait for him to post it all official-like.

Or you can turn it into the official "Wolfmasters" QT thread and never release it.
