OMG, congratz. Does that mean you'll soon get a life and we'll have to miss your pages of contributions?  :iamamoron:

There you go, I insulted you after all... :facepalm: Sorry  :cry:

Askthepizzaguy 说:
Should I read your avatar for spew?  :iamamoron:
Please do, as otherwise there isn't much to go on.

@Adaham:

Aw man, you totally saw through my plan to get you into a quote war with me, because apparently every time I ask question to someone it means I am tricking them into getting into a long argument, somehow.  :roll:

I'm not going to keep beating a dead horse (a live wolf isn't the same as a dead horse no matter how many times you beat it, anyway)

But this sarcasm does not read as villagery.

Sarcasm is a huge indicator of alignment. It is a humor-based read. Humor is very subjective, and it reads differently when written by a wolf because they have an opposed mindset to a villager.

Sarcasm tell here says Phone is a wolf.

Like, I can move on and not give updates when Phone posts a wolfy post, since I'm registering about 80+ on my 1-100 wolfy scale here, I'm just going to sound tunnelly or redundant if I keep doing it.

But those of you not reading Phone wolf, read the sarcasm very closely here, and tell me if it sounds pure.

Still here just got caught up in an interaction with someone irl, so I have not been paying attention.

Will be back soohn-ish.  :wink:

Were they a wolf?

No, she is decidedly un-furry, beautiful, and makes my heart skip a beat, and my body skip over an ocean to go see her... soohn.

She ordered a pizza, awwww yeeaahhhh. :razz:

I'm glad that you feel comfortable enough with me to jokingly insult me now.  :mrgreen:

Hit me, Adaham, you can't even make me cry a little bit right now. Or actually get to work and find me a wolf. Cracking the whip on you now.

Adaham 说:
Hey Kronic, do you feel that that cursing a lot gives your arguments more weight?

I mean, I'm not the one to point fingers when it comes to an angry fit, but wolf hunting for you seems to consist mostly of saying "**** you, wolfboy" whenever somebody doubts your stuff. If I were a nitpick, I'd call that blatant OMGUSing. But luckily I've studied Cicero, so I'm not even gonna go there.

Nah, not really. Was intended as a bit of a callback to how I used to play, but I guess it fell flat. ;_;
It has been a long time, I guess, but yeah, I've mellowed out sicne then and the swearing is optional.

Also, generally, I tend to direct it more towards people I suspect rather than people who disagree with me. Sometimes they're the same, sometimes they're not. I'm aware from experience I'm not great at spotting slips from a technical side, hence why I rely on my gut and "reverse engineer" it. Being aggressive tends to make people reply more, and it gives me more to look at to try and figure evidence to actually make a case, one way or another.

Magorian Aximand 说:
Oy, Kroni****er (:razz:), there's a difference with being uncertain, and making arguments before presenting a reason for you to drop them if they become inconvenient. One is prudential, the other is a tactic. Guess which one your posts demonstrate? Can you guess what the typical wolf response is to being called out on it?

How does that name even work? :razz:

And yeah, point taken. It's kind of a self defense thing to prevent myself tunnel visioning, but you're right in that it's less helpful for the village as a whole. I'll try to keep it as a "Reasons for, reasons against" thing to clarify my viewpoint next time.

pre-post edit: Jesus **** this thread is busy.

Yes, sarcasm from me is a HUGE wolf tell.  :roll:

Again you're deliberately removing context, which [read the following in all caps:] is an extremely blatant wolf tell, almost every single time.

Now let me return to being a gentleman about it: You might be sarcastic often, but the humor involved here makes the hairs on the back of my neck, my very, very humanly hairs, stand straight up. I'm familiar with sarcasm. I'm intimately involved with sarcasm. I've taken sarcasm home, slipped her a little wine, and physically loved the bejeezus out of sarcasm.

You, sir, touched sarcasm inappropriately in that post. It makes me wish I could vote you again, if I had that capability.

@Pizzaguy

Alright, I can understand your explanation and even understand that a No Lynch can be beneficial sometimes, especially now that I know how big your home forum games are here. But whilst games of this size and setup are rare for you, they're pretty much the norm for us (though we rarely ever rely on our Seers as they usually die early).

But I still don't understand why you declared your intent of a no lynch so early. You mooted your own post in just a few hours. Why not wait and see whether anyone gave you a scum read?

We're approaching the point where a Phone death and wolf flip would lock me villager and bust the game wide open.

Feel free to hunt your own wolves, folks, but.... this is the guy.

Difficult to say, really. My decision to think about No lynch as a plausible option came out of instinct.

Like, those moments where you almost never do something, but... something pushes you to make that call, and you can't explain it.

Like.... use an example in my own life. I can't usually talk to women I don't know on a personal level, yet once in a great while I see someone and I have this strong instinct to say hi and try to get to know them on a personal level.

Why, I do not know- especially if it usually goes against the grain of my thinking. It's the exception here. An instinct-based exception.

I have no idea if this explanation will help. But it is the truth, and so that's why I'm laying it out.

Nothing was "deliberately" removed - I know the context. I've just been in a few recent games where multiple people (including Adaham) seem to think all I am trying to do is drawing them into quote war. It gets old fast, so blunt sarcasm is my reaction.

Damn, I just found the perfect gif for this, but unfortunately it would get me banned  :dead:

Also, tried to censor it, but I haven't photoshopped in some time and am a bit rusty. Also...maybe I should focus more on the game than on gifs.

It could be argued it sounds pure Phonemelter, not necessarily really pure. But evaluating this is the main challenge for the day.

Askthepizzaguy 说:

I've made it clear that I tend to agree a lot on what you say about Phoney, but that I also have some reservations and need to make up my mind on it. From where I stand, I think Vieira or even Eli****you might be even a better choice right now. I have to think about it. And while I appreciate you're trying to make me work, I feel pretty chill and have no intend of stressing out. I will point out whenever I see something that needs pointing out, and I will apply pressure when I think it's necessary. But since you've already done quite something, I'm not gonna go out desperately looking for something to say only so I can prove I'm on par with you or anybody else. This is a team effort and I'm fine with taking the lead as much as I'm with being a wingman.

Why is this even worth mentioning?

Because obvious joke is that werewolves are covered in lots of hairs. So I was cutting that one off at the pass. Hardy har har, still a human, etc.

@ Adaham, Vieira is also acceptable to me.

I don't mind battling it out with Phone until close to must lynch if I have to. If the guy can finally start acting like a villager I'll begin to see it.

But if he's a wolf definitely lynch him today because why wait.

I know that when I play werewolf, a prophylactic approach to humor is a priority.

One could argue that this is attempt at subtle image building. Hide the human in the humor, and nobody will think twice about it.
