Congratz, you found us. We're packies. Soot randomly rolled the two most awesome players as packies in a small game without specials and thought..."you know what? A smashing victory by those guys is EXACTLY what's gonna revive WW on this forum. Everybody will be like...woah, that was fun being eaten, let's do that again right away". So yeah, that's totally what happened. But don't tell dem others, ok?

Nothing to fear though, our most present and visible player posting spammy memes and egomaniacal "vote for Xardob because I said so" rants will revive the community all the same.

I thing that spammy memes are not the real problem, the real catch is "Why should I join a werewolf game if I know that I will be lynched the first turn simply because I am a noob?"
That's really demotivating for me and probably for all those who read this. So, shall we play more seriously and say more logical/reasonable and reasoned things/accusations for the sake of this game and the future to come. Really guys, or I will deny you the right ( and fun ) to kill me and commit seppuku.

P. S. Needless to say I have nothing against memes or jokes. Our goal is to have fun, but a bit of seriousness won't hurt.

I want to apologize for this snipe - driving to Portland for a long time after rotten sleep put me in the crankiest of moods.

You misapprahend me Adaham, I am not saying that you are both wolves (or not). I said that I find your mutual vote bull****. You are both just waiting for people to come along, only to turn on them. There is no way you have already nailed down both wolves.

For the record, I always roll rolls randomly and never adjust. Hence I also don't metagame in terms of who the wolves might be based on the host's disposition.

Drago no worries, seriousness will evolve as the game progresses. Feel free to check out  an older game for reference.
As for spammy memes, I don't like them but the majority doesnt seem to mind and adaham did state he would only play if he could do "neo-xardobian" with memery

Funny thing, drago means dragon in Italian.

Yeah, I suspected that. Yet the one game I read that did not involve any of you was quite more serious from the start. Maybe I read a too old game. I have a playful nature so I understand the excitement/jokes/roleplaynig and all, but it's getting a bit out of hand.
Thank you for the post.

oops   :iamamoron:

BUT....in my defence....it was only my second option  :iamamoron:

No, seriously, this probably came across worse than I intended to. You see, I'm gonna tell you a little secret about me, that some of the others don't know. Xardob probably knows, but none of the others. In reality I'm not that big a jerk as I'm playing in this game. This is a persona, it's what I do to keep this fun for myself (and hopefully some others as well). The fact remains, however, that the 1st day ends quite often with a lynch of a new player (as they often don't have their footing in the community sorted out yet), which I don't applaud or criticise in anyway, but it's a fact. More often than not, those end up to be innocent (though not always), and as it's often a compromise vote caused by people not wanting to vote off their buddies with at least a hunch, it is a bit of a sacrifice. No one calls it like that, but it's what it is. That is, until I said it now, because I just added this whole "name it as it is" thing to my persona this game, which makes me weirdly excited and slightly edgy.

So, in a way, despite me trying to get you lynched and talking about sacrificing you, I'm still your best friend in this game. Remember, we had our tre porcellini moment, that's gotta account for something   :iamamoron:

I'd be cranky if I had to go to Portland, so no worries. In fact, I found your snarky reply quite funny, it was well played! While I might be the most lovable guy around behind that persona of mine, I've FINALLY (took me like what? A dozen years or so?) learned to separate this game from my real emotions.

And seriously, I hope no one thinks I'm earnestly thinking all that bull**** I'm writing here. I'm having fun. I hope so are you. If you don't think my **** is fun, then I hope at least you create your own fun. The more people are having fun, the better the game. And even though I am a natural born leader (as an Austrian, I sorta have to), I'm perfectly happy with people waving me off as a slightly weird, but fascinatingly charismatic, guy.

So we should follow option 1 because of unmotivated trust like sheep? Because of "WE ARE A TEAM"?
Yes. Give it some time, and you shall see how it all falls into place. You'll see the light, and all will be good.

Till you prove your innocence
Vote Big McLarge-Huge
Hold it right there, Lupo-boy. You ARE an experienced player, you've said so yourself. Writing something like this in WW is big bs, and you know that. No one can prove their innocence, not without a specialist on board. You MUST know that, and yet you use this faulty logic to place an OMGUS vote. This is by far the fishiest thing you've done so far, and I won't let it fly  :iamamoron:

MaHuD said:
I said that I find your mutual vote bull****. You are both just waiting for people to come along, only to turn on them. There is no way you have already nailed down both wolves.
1) The fact that at some point two players vote each other doesn't make it a mutual vote. Xardobs vote has been on me since page 1, I switched my vote rather recently after his behaviour convinced me he was the best choice for now. My vote on him is serious. If you want to know whether Xardob is serious about me, you have to ask him.
2) Gauging player reactions by placing votes is what every experienced player does. Well, almost every experienced player. There are those that sit in the corner smoking, commenting cynically on everybodies attempts at getting something going, and twirling their chest hair, and that's that. Not sure that gets us a lot further.
3) No way? No way? Ha. We shall see in the end. Plus, don't be thick...Xardob and I have literally both joked about me pulling a Whoopin this time around. It's all part of the persona, lighten up!

For the record, I always roll rolls randomly and never adjust. Hence I also don't metagame in terms of who the wolves might be based on the host's disposition.
I know you do, but most hosts care about their game being actually fun to play  :iamamoron:

---

And for all those of you complaining about memes and joking...baaam, here's your first WoT. Enjoy! You'll soon regret it and wish I was back to memes n' ****.  :meh:

What do you mean by specialist?

I have not said that I am an experienced player, I played 4 or 5 games ( from more than 10 to 30 people in real life, face to face ) mostly more than five years ago though. Moreover I managed to win half of them, call it luck, certainly not skills, my team mates did a great job, I helped a bit. Good memories.

Yeah, I could have been more clear and less fishy, yet that sentence served his purpose.

Unvote Big McLarge-Huge

Vote Xardob

And no, I am not doing it because I trust Big McLarge-Huge.

Specialist = herbalist, seer...innocents with special abilities (and I don't mean wheelchair-folk)  :iamamoron:

Your vote change on Xardob....hm......hmmmmm....we'll see. Now I'm off to bed. Have fun, y'all!

Ah, yeah. We did not use/have a collective name for all of them. Moreover the seer had a different ability than yours and probably the same applies to most of the other specialists. Last, but not least I am so tired I thought you were talking about psychologists. :iamamoron:
Good night everyone.

Arch3r said:
I think though, both of these arguments are rather bad. However, you're already assuming the worst case scenario of killing an innocent, which is bad for morale.
I so want to vote you because of this, but Fishy is clearly a wolf, and you can't both be wolves.

MaHuD said:

I know why your accusing me, but why wolf boy as my packmate?
Reasons. I've got them, but I'd much more prefer you made them up yourself  :iamamoron:
Oh, I see, you're going senile. I'm so sorry, old man. I'll be sure to send someone to change your diapers.  :iamamoron:

Dago Wolfrider said:

Somethings never change.

I don't know, man. You're trying to lynch me day one in my first WW game in years. That's a pretty dickish move.

Dago Wolfrider said:
Vote Xardob

And no, I am not doing it because I trust Big McLarge-Huge.
Why are you doing it, then?

Reasons for my vote:

1. You did not question Big McLarge-Huge's lack of a reason to accuse me till recently, but my lack of an answer to his accusation from the start.

2. You keep voting for Big McLarge-Huge, yet you defend him from Marowit's accusation.

3. Your crisscross vote from the start, but maybe MaHuD is right about it, he knows you better than I do after all.

That's all for what concerns only you.

Votecount:
Xardob: 3 - The Doge of Benis, Big McLarge-Huge, Dago Wolfrider
Marowit: 2 - Jock, TheFlyingFishy
Big McLarge-Huge: 1 - Xardob
Jock: 1 - Arch3r
The Doge of Benis: 1 - MaHuD
TheFlyingFishy: 1 - Marowit

So here are the current proposed options they way I interpreted the last two pages (feel free to let me know if it's wrong):

1. We lynch Biggie and he's innocent: Xardob is Wolf
2. We lynch Xardob and he's innocent: Biggie is Wolf.
3. We lynch Dago and he's innocent: repeat step one or two.

I'd also like to remind y'all that there are 9 people in the game, both regarding votes and our current suspects. We also have plenty of time right now which I would use for discussion rather than haphazardly throwing votes without any reasoning.

How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

No...wait...wrong game

Yeah, send someone over. After a year of changing diapers I'm ready to hand that task to somebody else.  :iamamoron:

I don't know, man. You're trying to lynch me day one in my first WW game in years. That's a pretty dickish move.
True, but I didn't make you a wolf, and I didn't make you show all of the typical X-wolf signs. Don't blame me for those.

But, if you would sell out your packie to me, I might let you live for a day longer. Also, that's gonna make all those conspiracy-nuts go crazy about us being in cahoots. Jock's already starting to show first signs of it, it's only a matter of time they want both of us dead

Thanks for the reminder, Cpt. Obvious. That's probably why you decided to only talk about X-man, Lupo and me. Yup, very convincing

Big McLarge-Huge said:

Maybe he already did that:
Xardob said:
Now where's Fishy to give us his packmate?

So I am going to add:

4. If Xardob is a wolf, lynch Fishy.
2. We lynch Xardob and he's innocent: Biggie is Wolf.
5. If Biggie is a wolf, lynch the Doge of Benis.

At least, that's my new list of suspicion. Yet, as Jock said there is plenty of time.

Moreover it's the second time that Jock highlights the fact that we have a lot of time ahead. So aut he is a wolf that wants to be seen as an innocent aut an innocent that is desperately trying not to be lynched, while no one is seriously voting for him in both cases. Yet he may even be sincerely trying not to have an innocent lynched.

Different players need different ways of pressure, but fair enough.

3. Your crisscross vote from the start, but maybe MaHuD is right about it, he knows you better than I do after all.
The vote is a holdover from early game, there just hasn't been any reason to retract it. I rarely unvote someone unless if it is to vote someone else.

I think that's a rather narrow way to interpret the last few pages. But since you want to talk about other players, what do you think about Archer?

Archer is right there, quietly under the radar. Please don't notice him.  :iamamoron:

Are they even a thing anymore? It's been so long. Besides, I didn't even take the village in a merry go round with lynch targets yet.

Dago Wolfrider said:

Nah, 9 villagers against 2 wolves makes selling out a packmate a no go. Specially during the first day.

5. If Biggie is a wolf, lynch the Doge of Benis.
A bit too obvious, I doubt this is true.

Yeah, that's been on my mind as well. But it would go against my page-1-solution, so not very likely.  :???:

Just a minute ago you were all Fishy, and now it's Archer suddenly? I mean, it's fine if you want to prod people yourself, but this is like you seem more concerned that WE talk about other people, than you trying to get them to do something.

Are they even a thing anymore? It's been so long. Besides, I didn't even take the village in a merry go round with lynch targets yet.
Well, not yet. But you've already voted for me, and have now been onto Fishy and Archer. You're getting there
