I find if you send your men infront on a hill and archers behind them it places them in a stand-still position. Swoop around behind them with your Calvery and it's as good as done.
IDK, the fact that they will help each-other when fighting makes them very scary. The AI cant beat them either apparently because at almost 100 days in i see some welsh rebel groups with 150+ prisoners...the groups themselves only have 25-30 men in them. How they can keep that many prisoners idk but, it does make for a good way to refill your army with good soldiers, i even got a knight once.

No they're not that strong, unless you fight them in ships with a bunch of peasants.

Cavalry wrecks them, once it gets in close. They have horrible melee weapons.

I second that. I found those rebels no match if u swarm with a couple good cav, followed by your inf men and archers closing in. They will stab at you with butter knives and then run for the hills. you may lose a few men and horses on approach but this method reduces them to peasants.. they do make good for loot too.Maeglin Dubh 说:

Me alone could kill more than 10 of them in close combat. 
Try to distract them with spread out shielded infantry. Then charge them with calvary ( 3 or 4 is enough).
If you ever fight them personally in close combat,you'll find that they just swing a knife around while walking away from you. By you armed with a sword or spear and shield, they're like vegetables in this situation.

You guys should try playing a campaign as a foot knight or foot archer role. I keep hearing about people running around on cavalry and such, which is good and fun for a while but gets old after a bit. If you want a true experience with this mod, go unmounted. You can still use some cavalry for flanking and such, you'll just have to use the point and click command with the minimap to move them away from the main group and into flanking positions. However there is nothing like being on the frontlines with the rest of your infantry as the enemy charges at you and their archers unleash their volleys on you.
