Weird AI mesh

When I wnet in to AI mesh before and clicked create AI mesh it looked like this
Why are the vertexes all stretched???????
This only happens in this map and no other one. Creating a new face does not have this problem however

That may be. I did make a new terrain code for it though. Oh well it will be neater if I start AI mesh from scratch anyway. Thanks (once again the one to answer these problems )

That might explain it. The terrain got changed, and so your AI mesh got ****ed up.

i think that u made the scene too large, scale it down a little bit and then create AI mesh,it works for me,this is the bug when u reach certain wide of the scene

Was original; map a clean generated from terrain code, or did you get some previous sco file?

If you get terrain code from one scene, and initial sco file (that you edit afterwards) from other scene with different initial terrain code, sometimes strange bugs can surface out. Even if the scene behaved ok after the edit

I generated it from the in-game terrain...thingy (forgot the name) The x and the y slider were on ~1/8

Edit: My mistake they were on about 1/4 or 1/3, I pasted the terrain code into the terrain editor to see

no, that's where you got terrain code.

Where did you get sco file: let game generate it anew, or copied and renamed one of existing ones?

I copied in my terrain code over an existing scene and then went in to the scene and deleted all the objects mesh and so on. Then today when I was happy with my scene I clicked Create AI mesh and that happened. Right now I have already just started anew with creating faces and making it all myself.

Also I might add I have used this technique several times without these results :S

there's your problem then. You should've let game generate new sco file from this code instead of using old one

You need to reconstruct the scene I guess. Or build all AI mesh manually from scratch

The bug is not always there. But if it is, there's nothing you can do to correct it

I do this to (no bug yet, but walkers do not stay on AI path).  Is there a guide for creating scenes from scratch?  Links I found were dead.

I'm not even sure where that terrain tool is located.  I just go into scene and hit control+E and start working (and copy old code over).  If I change elevation, will that mess things up (I do AI mesh last).

One more question, any way to copy sets of props from one scene to another?  So if I did remake, I could at least copy most over easily.

Thanks
