What is your favorite type of weapon.

If you can be bothered add why.

1. 2H in melee weapons for its superior weapon reach and damage.
2. Bow in ranged weapons for its superior rate of fire compared to crossbows and superior range and amount of ammo compared to thrown weapons.

I really like the 2H swords but I also sometimes use the 1H/2H because then you can use a shield against archers. I also use alot of javelins and so on because they are really good in close combat unlike crossbows and bows

Jaird by all means - I've jacked the .txt file so I have bout 50 of them in a stack.

Other than that, my Sword of War gets the most use, but it's so nice to get a string of guys following me as I back up and nail them all with a swift round of Jairds to the head!

There's something "pleasing" about using a large double-handed warhammer or battle axe... not sure what it is!

The bow is by far my favorite weapon to use. I have a hard time playing a character who doesn't use one - it's just a perfect way to dominate the battlefield. Fast, accurate, and deadly. Absolutely essential for a solo player; traditionally I use a war bow alongside a steel shield and nomad saber.

I like running around with a steel shield and a scimitar when things get dirty.

And I tend to mess around with the Bow/Crossbow, depends on the job. It just helps alot when soloing.

Throwing knives.

Incredibly fast to shoot, and deadly in the right hands.

Its so much fun watching a huge group of enemies come charging towards you, only to die to a flurry of headshotting knives.

Bastard sword's my favourite, no question.

It's like a medieval swiss-army knife: it's got reach, speed, you can wield it with a shield on horseback and against crossbowmen/sea raider axe chuckers, and when things get nasty you can ditch your shield, get a good grip with both hands and chop khergit horses in half.

Although I've recently become a fan of the humble spear: its reach is pretty woeful (seems to be 'just' ahead of the horse when couched) but it's well fast for a polearm, you can ride just behind and to the right of a pesky horse-archer so he can't shoot you and just poke his horse to death. And it looks awesome with the top three feet covered in blood.

But the best weapon I've found? My heavy hunter, called 'Roadkill'. When I'm facing hordes of river pirates I sometimes don't bother swinging a weapon at all..

I like a big polearm. Not a wussy spear, but more a haldbred type axe on a stick deal. I like to fight on foot and theyre an awsome inf wep.

i like gigantic self made throwing weapons and pimped polearms, the ones that if you hit someons head the framerate drops by 25 becouse of all the blood

I like crossbows but blowpipes are the best. Why isnt that a option? Oh there isnt any in the game... Yet I will make one.

I love the crossbow, sure, it isn't the most MANLY or HEROIC of weapons, but nothing beats killing every one of your enemies before they can even touch you
