Although ranged mercenaries switch to their bows with frightening eagerness, my heros do so much less frequently. In fact they never do. They both are mounted, and both have short bows. I'm sure they're able to wield their melee weapons, they do so when I take their bows away from them. But when they have the bows, they never switch to melee, even in the most opportune situations. I shot Borcha's horse out from under him in the middle of 3 footmen. He tried to shoot them to death with his bow from 2 feet away. Why must i have such complete idiots for company???
