hi, i'm new here, and i have a question.
does changing the weapon length using the item editor really changes a weapon's length?

for example if i change the morningstar's weapon length to 180, does it really change the weapon to that length?

sorry if it's a stupid question, but i would love to use a morningstar which is 2 handed and has long reach, as shown in this silent hill 3 video:

a long 2 handed morningstar sure looks like a badass weapon.

Yep, but if you make it too long you will suffer when the enemy gets too close. I'd say make it no more than 105 reach and up the speed to 97 if you're not planning to use a shield.

the number for weapon reach does not change the grafic representation of that weapon. You can give the kitchen knife a reach value of 120 and it will still look like a kitchen knife

As amondrubee said the changes of the attributes do not change the look of the weapon, only the effects of it.
To get a weapon like in the video you would need to also change the look or you could search the modding forum if someone already did it. I think I saw something like that in the OSP items for the Custom Settlements mod.

Theres a large two handed morningstar in the OCP pack, but you could alaways go for the maul, sledgehammer or my personaly favourite the warhammer instead. Their all blunt dmage though I believe.

This bit somewhat annoys me.  :x

You misunderstood me. What's annoying me is you're pointing out a name when you say something. It's like you are afraid something said is wrong so you're shifting responsibility to the person you're naming.
