Hi I'm new to this game and i have recently acquired a village. It is very poor. How do I increase it's wealth?

well, you could always build a mill there which increases it's wealth, other than that all you can do is make sure it isn't raided, and see if it needs any quests done.

While I do generally build a mill in my villages first thing, I've noticed that it's never going to be able to raise the prosperity of a Very Poor village all that high, especially since at some point, the village is going to get raided.  It's just inevitable, unless you sit on that village night and day.

Far better to trade, invest in enterprises, fight enemies and sell their loot and ransom their prisoners and, most of all, take more territories so you can get more and better fiefs!

Villages get wealthier when their farmers are able to successfully get to market (the nearest town) and back, don't they?  They make the trip everyday.  You could follow them back and forth.  But since you're new to the game, I'll volunteer: this is an absolutely silly way to go about making money.  Go fight someone.  Bandits (preferably Sea Raiders) if you're not at war right now.

Thank you for your help. What your saying is I need to build a mill and hunt and kill all the near by bandits so my villagers make it safely to town?

And do quests by the town elder, like getting grain, cows, etc... those help quite a bit.

try completing quests for them. especially cattle quest. it might cost you money to buy cattles but on long terms it will make you more money from taxes if they have high wealth
