As amazing as Warband is, it's limited by it's old tech. Map size and detail, battle size, menus, controls, AI. All of those things are quite outdated.

DLC can wait forever. I just want a decent, finished game with mod support

Not necessarily. Many release dates were missed before Early Access, and at least 1 full release date has been missed so far, and the game has a fair way to go before it's ready for full release. At the current rate of progress I'd say the game would actually be ready by 2023-ish, not 2022.

I guess they just make a cut no matter what in 07.2022.

Fire and Sword was really nice, give me a Saber and two flintlock pistols and everything is fine.
Enemy was always surprised when I draw the second (in MP).^^
Hopefully there will be Fire and Sword 2, I doubt it, but it would be cool.

...That for sure, the multiplayer naval combat on the Deluge is one of the best modding experience in Warband...IMHO
