On the other hand, having a Reich that was meant to last 1000 years being bombed into dust and having the Russians fly their flag in German capital in just some 4 years of war, well that's not all that "asskicking" really (even a country like Afghanistan resists better...two world's greatest superpowers have invaded them for over 30 years now, and they're still not conquered, lol)
But enough off topic from me in Lord Serious' thread. If you wish to continue the debate, I'll be more than happy to accommodate in PM.

The USSR crumbled after invading Afghanistan, and they wouldn't have conquered it since it was their ally, they were just helping the goverment against the other side in the civil war, and USA can't just annex Afghanistan and Iraq, it would give them a bad name. Already people aren't loving them anymore after invading the 2 countries, so they just installed puppet regimes.
But hell, we've gone way too offtopic. These polls are a good way to decide on the factions when you're not inspired. I made polls like this for my mod too, though in my polls the choices were real countries.

Make a list of what you wish to do and what you can do (won't take long to learn). Compare the two lists and if there is too much things on the ''wish'' list only select a few of them as a chalenge.
People will may give some support, but also expect (at least in the begining) a lot of spam and negativism. Just stick to the plan. You can leave the thread to die - it will have more impact if you suddenly release the mod with screenshots, story, banners,....

I wasn't referring to holocaust. Just to the camps, mass murdering POW, middle-class civilians, and people who just appeared in wrong place at wrong time.
I meant totalitarian system, creating gestapo in image of Russian secret police, camps for political opponents, political murders, dreams of world supremacy, mass indoctrination, using slave labour, and last but not least, outrageously cynic propaganda

hey guys, please stay on topic.
Anyway, you guys probably dont get what im trying to say. please read the whole thread before posting? I said that these factions will NOT BE EXACTLY LIKE WHAT YOU PICK. EXample: if you were to pick france, i would make a faction that concentrates on nobility and cavalry, get it? germans, in ancient rome, what were they? barbarians. i just picked a random time throughout history, so please, stop talking.
As i said, i will be done with the map im probably a few days. im going to pick myself a few factions that i like, which is a good idea, but i also want to make a mod people will actually play.
Another thing, if anybody took this the wrong way, i apologize, but i kinda dont want too many off topic posts and people who talk about world war 2 and ask questions unrelated to anything in this thread. Thank you.

read my post completely, please. THIS IS NOT BASED IN THE KNOWN WORLD. it takes place in a made up land, but in a medieval setting. please do not talk to me about history based things, i already put what i meant in the poll and the original mod posting.

Ok. It sounds cool to me except that all of them will be in rags/hide. Most barbarian armies had a majority of its troops wearing hide/whatever with the cream of the crop wearing more expensive chainmail/scalemail. Good luck.
