[WBMM] Map Information & Map Discussion

Can we have some new maps like Dreicksdorf, River Village or even Vendetta?
We are currently discussing changes to the map pool in the admin team. We definitely agree that the time has come to play different maps. You most likely won't see open maps like River Village tho.

The map is a small one, therefore, the flags are closer to each other than usual. It should complement a more active game where there are more engagements and shorter rounds.

I was hesitant about Mountain Village, but I created it just to make something different, since the other map I made (Steppe Valley) is pretty normal and similar to others. I hope people aren't just fighting in the middle like they do on most new maps, but if it turns out there's too much wrong with it for whatever reason, it's not like I'd be keen on it being kept on the server.

The terrain grants a huge advantage to the team spawned on top, which usually results in multiple rounds going to said team. The map itself is well-done, just not for competitive play as of now.

Originally, the spawn points were on equal sides of the map (left and right), but that seemed really boring, and I was worried people would just contest in the middle, rather than play for flags. So, I placed one team high up on the hill, and hoped the lower team would play more tactically. But fair enough if it doesn't work anyway. Thanks for testing it out.

I have to say, Jon both maps are archer dependent due to having so many archer spots and buildings. In the end steppe village is quite enjoyable to play, while I have to say Mountain village is quite hard for me to play on.

We never got to test these out properly on the OCE MM servers, but, if new maps are wanted, I might as well post them here. Both are fairly small and were designed with 6v6 in mind; based on my judgement I'd think that Ghostbough would be a better MM map than Uzum Lakeside.

I made some minor changes to both maps after the screenshots were taken.
